Manchester shooting tragedy!!!

All I hear is 'Should the Police be armed all the time' in light of this tragedy in Manchester. Surely the question should be 'When will they bring back the 'DEATH Penalty' for these cowards?'. I say cowards because rather than take the risk of being hunted down and shot, as he certainly deserved to be', he handed himself in to the Police and avoided being killed, IMO.

Your police are not armed??!! Wtf! So they are chasing criminals who are armed yet the police have no guns? Who thought up such a crazy idea?
Tragic so very sad.
But do not agree with police carrying guns. They can get guns when needed in a situation but this kind of thing comes out of the blue. Very sad indeed.
I think every policeman should have a handgun, shotgun, assualt rifle and sniper rifle. Unarmed police are a joke in today's world.
Well first of all, no one twisted his arm to become a police officer and why should they be treated as some divine entity
I think the police should be armed but with much better trainer as to when to use their weapons.

We are having such a big problem here with police shootings. Their current training has them fire on people who "appear" to have a weapon of any sort or "appear" to be reaching for a weapon. More often than not all they had was a cell phone or nothing at all. Our officers have access to bean bag guns which are very effective and non lethal yet not used often enough such as in a case where a person is holding a knife. One shooting was of a disabled man in a wheelchair holding a knife!!! Seriously, was this man going to chase them????

For the officers safety yes they should carry weapons because the criminals do and there are many who are armed and dangerous.

Let's just make sure our officers use appropriate force, have proper training and are psychologically fit for their jobs not just at the time of hire but ongoing.
wow If the cops are not armed, from whom will I buy the guns for the next job I have planned???confused laugh
they are here in my Town!
Not sure about other Towns, but most likely they are too!
Statepolice have been armed with the Army-issue Pistol for ages!
Here in Washington, we have the same problem - trigger-happy cops killing people right and leftg. In one case, they shot an innocent deaf man who was just reaching into his back pocket to grab his DEAF ID card! In another case a cop resigned after shooting an artist who was simply carving a piece of wood (his artistic specialty.) Still another case was a mentally ill man that was shot by cops after his family called the police. The family's response was, "If we had known he would get shot by the cops, we never would have called the cops." Also, right here in Kent, we had a cop who got fired after twice reporting being shot at - turns out he was shooting himself and blaming it on blacks. Sounds like the police are out of control, and it also sounds like the police need WAY better training than they're getting. The police are way to eager to use their weapons. I agree with the police being regularly tested psychologically.
Dont know, or havent heard of this, cause where I am, we have about 300 shootings a day, and only 8 out of every 50 murderers get convicted, sent to prison and only stay on average 2 years there.

But anyway, I dont believe in the death penalty in a country like England, cause its a minor occurence, what I mean by that, it doesnt happen everyday, or is out of hand.

Usually when someone goes and shoots someone, its usually not done for nothing, its usually over money,

and that usually means, the person is defrauded once again, or money stolen from him, or his life stuffed up, and the other one looks like the nice guy all the time.

So, this leads to bitteness and revenge, cause he cant control his emotions. Its just human nature, so I dont like the death penalty brought in to hang the guy cause he was done in by someone who lives the high life, while manufacturing and stuffing other peoples lives up.

Thats just my opinion.
