Does your inside match your outside?

Most of my life I've felt a bit misplaced. Growing up I usually found the non-white kids were more interesting. I seemed to identify more with kids from Mexico or Thailand or wherever and felt out of place with the kids that looked like me.

As an adult, I still don't really fit into my white-bread world. I adore Spanish guitar and really any music with a latin beat. I love, love, love the artwork of South America, particularly the Xuahacan spririt animals. If I could, all of my clothes would be made from the beautiful textiles of India and in their styles and also my home would be beautifully attired in the same. As for food, Mexican, Greek and Italian reigns.

At work, my office is a brightly coloured tropical oasis amongst kitschy, cluttered, themeless offices and cubicles.

Apart from my love of American politics (conservative, thank you!) and craft beer, I'm only white on the outside.

Does anyone else find that their book does not match their cover?

I just sent this to a friend minutes ago....
"we had fast ADSL Internet here; then I used to love to listen to music radio stations from around the world; Cuban, Spanish & Latin style were my favorites.."
Another of my favorites is Bluegrass - but I like to watch as in a video or live..wine handshake yay peace
Hi Chame1eon! Great to see a blog from you and a very intersting one :) It reveals you from a bit unexpected angle and it only shows how interesting people are :) We share some common preferences, like supporting the right wing in politics and the love for Italian food and Indian textiles.

About myself, I think my outside matches my inside practically 100%. At least the way I see myself. About others, they have always been surprised I am into hard rock and metal music, I only hope I don t look like someone liking "Titanic" laugh bouquet wave
As for me Who cares as long as you are doing what you like. Mirroring is a process by which you respond to others in similar way as they behave. This happens more with the people you feel comfortable with.

So please do what you like ( without hurting others) and enjoy every bit of your life.

You will attract people with similar interest. Nothing else matters.

yay cheers
Respected Chame 1eon.
Those whoes inside match outside they are prefect people.
Like you.
Your picture shows you inside and outside are Same.

Respected Ed.
The blog is not funny it is a meaningful blog.
I apreciate this blog.
I am South African by birth ... We have a diverse culture ... We all have adopted a little from each other in style, food, even language .... I am Indian on the outside by looks .... But my mind/taste is very diverse ... And I am just a "human" on the inside ...
well inside pure devil outside pure angel so doesnt match
teddybear
St Elmo, I know what you mean. Can't get into bluegrass, but anything latin or latinish is fine with me. Ever listen to Jesse Cook?
Ed, that is funny! When you were younger, did you ever get the feeling that you were born in the wrong body/ race/ culture??
Timotie, thank you for the kind words!

Ed really wasn't making fun or anything. In English, to say that it's "a funny thing" is an expression that really means more that the topic is interesting.
Nessa, it seems in addition to being Indian and influenced by SA, that you are also Volpine's heart! You may be more diverse than you realized! grin
fax off, if you are pure devil on the inside and pure angel on the inside, does that make you a net zero or neutral? Does one not cancel out the other and vice versa? grin
Thanks for the correction.
Ed you are right.
For give me Ed.
Thank you chame1eon .....

Yeah I just might be grin

And well done to you for non living in a bubble enjoy your different tastes and style cus its a way of experiencing this wonderful world we live in ..... teddybear

Timotie, with so many bloggers from so many parts of the world it can be confusing to know if a comment is serious or is humour. grin
Chame.
Yes you are right. Every one has his own
under standing about the blog.
