the guy who married my dads sister , had a hand crank siren from ww2 and he lived in a house on the side of a hill covered in houses in a valley , so you could see a few hundred houses out the lounge window ....we were there in one of the family gaverings where the older ones were having a few beers ,.....and bill , must of been upset with evey one , cause he draged this heavy hand crank siren out of the back shed just after every one had turned their lights in the valley , and bill wound this beast up , and boy , it was loud , and you could see every ones lights came back on , so bill stopped and waited till most of the lights were off again , and bill went out and did it again , ......there you go folks .....some history from the late 60s

This siren is for zombies...
I lived for awhile in a German Village 30years back and on a Saturday Morning on the dot of 12 the sirens went off. The villagers said just to keep them oiled.
That siren surely stopped any
hanky panky in the valley!

6 people! Apparently it
was law when the house
was built 25yrs ago here.
