ABC's OF CHILD SAFETY

" The window's of the world are covered with rain... When was the black skies turn to blue. Everybody knows, when little children plays, they need a sunny day to go straight and tall..."

A pleasant day to all.
This are some Miscellaneous.
Unfortunately; I've got no personal significant Love Stories to tell...
So,instead, I will be glad to share here the CHILD SAFETY.

A is for ACCIDENT.
It's also for address. Make sure your child memorizes your home address in case you ever separated. It's also a good idea to tape your home address on the phone in case of an accident. Unlikely as it seems, the address is often the first thing forgotten when requesting emergency help.
Here's a tip: until the address is memorized, have your child wear an ID tag with pertinent information.

B is for BURN.
You always turn the pot handles away from the edge of the stove and always test the water before bathing your child. Great but what about the curling wand you're heating with the extension cord hanging down? And the cup of hot tea you forgot in the den when the telephone rang? The skin of infants and young children is more sensitive than that of adults and is more likely to suffer permanent damage as a result of a burn.
Other dangers:
Clothing irons, hair dryer, extension cords ( teething children might bite them ), matches, lighters, and that cigarette you left burning in the upstairs bedroom.

C is for CAR SEAT.
Parents are required to use car seat for children newborn to age four, and 40 pounds or under. Even if you're only driving to the corner store, don't risk your child's life. And set a good example:
Buckle your seat belt.

D is for DIVING.
Swimming and wading pools, hot tubs and bathtubs, and buckets of water all pose a very real hazard.
Make sure your pools are fully enclosed with a locked gate to protect the neighbor's children as well as your own. And, whatever you do, don't leave your baby alone in the bathtub for any reason. Tragedies can happen in as little as one inch of water and in less than one minute of time.

O is for OBSERVATION.
Your diligence in keeping an eye on your child, and avoiding hazardous situations, reduces the risk of injury. Be especially observant in crowds and public places. Not everyone is a friend.

P is for POISON CONTROL CENTER.
Tape the number by your telephone in fact, why not do it at the same time you post your address ( remember " A is for? " )
Cleansers, and detergents, caustic drain openers, and pool chemicals are all hazards to children. And make sure the contents of your medicine cabinet are out of reach. If your child does ingest something, call the Poison Control Center.

Q is for QUESTIONS.
Never be shy about asking your child's physician for more information. The more you know, the better you can manage your child's health.

R is for ROUTE TO SAFETY.
You've checked those smoke detector batteries and everyone in the house knows how to use the fire extinguisher. Now... Devise an escape route for family members in case of fire or earthquake. Since your route to safety may mean exiting from an upstairs window, escape ladders that hook over the window sill are an excellent investment. And don't forget the importance of having escape drills so everyone knows what to do is a disaster strikes.

S is for SECOND-HAND SMOKE.
Dangerous? Well, if you count the growing incidence of asthma and respiratory disease among children, missed school days, and the hazard of long-term exposure
( including an increased risk of cancer ) it most certainly is.
Thank you for this important information when you have children. I am a granny, and I too need to know this, to try to keep the grandkids safe when they visit me.

Hello My Dear Welela,

Thank you for reading it. It may be boring for others; but it was a basic guidelines for newly parents. Sooner or later / years from now, I will be a grandmother too for my grandchildren.
Since we can talk so much things here... I was thinking once in a while let's talk about children; since they are the future if the new generation; and we also started our life for being a child.

Thank you for the compliments about my picture profile here. I think it's in our DNA... ( it's naturally us. )

Love & Prayers,
Crystal
