THE JAPANESE

A very pleasant and finest day to all; just keeping my silent touch to all. And today, just giving / sharing a brief view / knowledge about Japanese....

The Japanese are among the longest-lived people in the Japan, the number of centenarians is exceptionally high.
In the Western Industrialised world, about 10 people out of 100,000 reach the age of a hundred while in Okinawa that number is 34. Not only do people live longer there, they also remain healthier longer. Five years ago, a Japanese TV broadcasted a fight between the then 96-year old karate champion Seikichi Uehara, and the reigning boxing champion who was then around 30. After the bout, the sprightly senior citizen explained his victory, " He simply wasn't mature enough to beat me." Nabi Kinjo, another Okinawa resident, garnered fame at the age of 105 when he chased away, and nearly killed, a poisonous snake with a fly-swat.

A Japanese-Anerican research team has studied the miracle of the Okibawa centenarians.
The Okinawan longevity to genetics, diet, exercise and local attitudes. According to the researchers, they enter old age with Zen-like stoicism. Indeed, the Japan Centre for Intercultural Communications confirms that Okinawans have hardly any fear of growing old.
In general they feel contented, safe and financially secure. And what the respondents most wanted in old age was not to be a burden to their children, and to undertake new projects, travel to far away places and take exercise.
Exercised is defined very widely:
Contemplation activities such as gardening and strolling are particularly popular.

Crystal,,,,I agree with you!!, I have witnessed their urge to make it a point , they exercise daily..
They seem not to feel any boredom, nor tired.. they enjoy household chrores, outside activities
(planting their crops, moving, gardening). They are such impressive people,,And they love to
eat veggies,, fruits, and salads,,espeially natto,,that make them energetic always..and for long
llife,,
To Continued...

On top that, the researchers found a conspicuously low rate if old-age dementia and the almost complete absence of menopausal problems.
Also contributing, the fact that the medical establishment combines eastern and western medicine.
Herbal remedies and acupuncture are as accepted as the high- tech medicine of the west.
Women especially find stability through social networks. They find solace not just through family, but also through sport groups and other networks.

My Practical Advices....
. Stick to a schedule
. Don't get up too late
. Don't go to bed too early
. Have hobbies and make friends.
People are not meant to be
Alone.

The Japanese government has been designated cricket as a great sport for the elderly: not taxing, plenty of fresh air, and fun and games even for those who are not that quick on their feet anymore.
LIVE LONGER, LIVE BETTER

Too much stress will make you ill and old. The Japanese go the gentle route: They practice
tai chi, yoga and gardening. And they walk a lot. A relaxed and positive attitude does the rest.

WATCH YOUR HEALTH; BE CONCIOUS TO IT.
Great day to everyone. Happiness to all.

I remember my previous co-worker, a 76 yr old man. He's been working ever since and didn't stop even after retiring at 60. His arm muscles and his feet stance are amazing. Except forsomewrinkles on his face just looking at his muscles, you would say he's just on his 50's. His arm muscles are still hard and definitely no sagging skin. I wish I'd live longer too.bouquet
