religion

I am not really a religious fella. Growing up my mother took me to different christian religions. The only thing that really got through or i took to heart is do more for others than you do for yourself. And basically live a good life. I remember we had a homework assignment to memorize a bible verse, i believe i was 7 at the time. Mine was john 3:16. Its weird i still remember it. I also find myself thinking about it from time to time. Friends told me to go to church to find a good woman. Personally i find it would be immoral and wrong of me to start a relationship based on views that are perceived to be my own but are not. I don't really expect a response on this one. These blogs have been my daily journal. I realize with my life choices i am a little disconnected from the normal social scene. This is the next best thing. Well i am off to have dinner with friends and maybe a few beers. New blog on Monday. Who knows what the weekend will hold. My sister sent me on facebook, the 13th is officially no bra day in support of breast cancer awareness. Ladies set the ta tas freepeace . yay I am very pro being free. cant wait to see what sunday brings lol

VIVA LA WEEKENDA !
What I have learned, in regards, to religion is that we can never become acceptable to God, through our own goodness, since we all have falling short of God's perfect standard (Romans 3:23). And that the wages of sin is death ( Romans 6:23). Therefore, we deserve to die and be separated from God forever (hell).

However, God in His love, took our sins and placed them on Jesus Christ, who suffered and died on the cross, to pay a debt we could not pay, and in exchange for our sin, He offers us His sinless perfection, so that God could treat us as if, we never sinned at all, because what Christ has done for us, In securing us a place in heaven (2 Corinthians 5:21; John 3:16; 14-2).

However, it takes more than knowledge (even the devil knows about Jesus). It takes more than agreement that the knowledge we have is accurate (the devil knows that Jesus is Lord). What it really means is to completely trust in Jesus Christ alone for eternal life. For He alone can forgive sin.

God bless!wave
A funny thing (by "funny" I mean strange) happened to me at the age of 19: I died. And I went into luminous loving darkness. Even the unlit harlem of "Heaven" is grand. Anyway, the first thing I experienced was my Perfection. That's right. I was Perfect. I had no body and no fear and no pain and no delusions about my identity that came out of being in a body. It seems that the body itself confuses us about our nature. The moment you are free of it you feel yourself the way that God created you: Perfect.
"Perfect," I said to myself. "I am perfect and nothing can ever hurt me again." Then I became aware of a presence I had known was with me all my life in the body. I recognised His love when He said,
"Nothing could ever have hurt you to begin with. You are an eternal being."

Then we had a conversation and a life review and He showed me my Will. My True Will was the shared Will of God: That all of God's children know that they themselves created all their own suffering and trials by the way they named events that came to them in the world; that we are godlings made from the very same stuff as our creator and that "as we call a situation, so shall it be experienced"; that nothing ever happens TO us. It all happens FOR us. Our Shepherd never leaves us.

God made us perfect. Perfect is ALL God DOES. It is our own misperceptions of what we are that make us think we are unworthy when Reality is what God says is Real and nothing more. God is sovereign. He says this world is nothing but a dream and He forgives what His children dream because we are in Fact at home in the arms of our Loving Father and we but dream of exile from His love. teddybear
