Not so good
I know everyone here mostly just wants fun fun fun, you know, to focus on good happy things. I understand why, I've read so many profiles that are similarly written; "i just want a happy man, must have a sense of humour" etc. Of course, no one wants to spend time with someone miserable, nasty & horrible! HaThen again there are some legitimate moments we're allowed to be not so good & these also show our true character as Men too.
A good friend of mine took her own life a few weeks ago, I was possibly one of the last people to see her, she came to my bands gig, had a great time, she left full of smiles & everything seemed well; except clearly it wasn't.
Her funeral was yesterday, I couldn't stop crying (or leaking as I prefer to call it because I don't sob or bubble), but it was a continuous waterfall throughout the entire service, I held hands with the Man she'd been seeing, he was a wreck & I just wanted to be supportive, I hugged him & others, male & female friends alike.
I think really what I'm saying is, in hard times we respond differently, at times we need humour, but sometimes, we experience loss & pain to truly appreciate why!
Now, where's my banana skins? I need some satire! :-D

Your friend has gone on a new adventure without you. She will only be unhappy when those she left behind are unhappy. Leak passion for those we call "the living". We are much further away from our home than are those we call "the dead".
Still, my heart is with you. I understand where you are as I have been there too.
It isn't the first time I've been through this unfortunately, but I once heard a very wise statement, "The more people we have in our lives, the more joy & happiness we experience, conversely, the more pain & suffering we witness too".
I have a lot of friends offline, & we'll always support each other, so I know that as the shock & grief passes away, there are lots of good times to come, but I certainly appreciate the kind words here too.
