Really, people?
Okay...we are on a site that is supposed to be for meeting people. In my world view, that generally means communication...and not with a bunch of emoticons and some quick yada yada yada.So, I guess it is me. I am not much for blogging...done more here than in all my years on computers...
But it appears that people are content to simply blog. Nothing more. Just yada yada yada.

If you want to find real friends here, you will get them.
I see nothing wrong with blogging...whatever you want to share...you simply do not have to join in...participation is your choice....
All those people are now together because they spent many weeks or months communicating and getting to know each other on here long before the met up.
In order to travel and meet up over long distance it could cost hundreds or thousands of dollars, most people are not millionairs therefore a person NEEDS that period of getting to know each other, only those brave enough to make that kind of commitment will succeed.....
