"THE HUMAN SPONGE SPECIES"

Seeing theres a blog about sponges today...it brought to mind that other kinfd of sponge..."The Human Sponge"...Ive known a few of them in my lifetime .....Theres always someone trying to get what you have ..no matter what it is......I had this guy that i didnt know that good (he was always hangin around with some that I hung around with)..well..one day he came up to me and asked me if he could get(not borrow)10 dollars ....well...being broke....i told him..."I aint got any money"..(that wasnt good enough)..he says.."how about 5 dollars then?"....."I told you ..im broke"!.....He says.."Then how about a dollar?"....I says..."What is it with you?"...."I dont have any money!!"....And then he says.."Well you got a cigarette?"....What a pest that guy was...his determination got something after all that...a cigarette.......but what a pest that "Human Sponge" was...........anybody here ever know a Human Sponge??...(I cant be the only one).....

Nam, if you live long enough you run into plenty of people like that. I have been used by "so called friends". It has cost me lot of money over the years! I have a problem turning down family and friends.sigh

That is right Nam. Well said.

I went thru this last year with one of my daughter's and her husband. They ask me for a 30 day loan which I gave them to help them out. That was last October. Still haven't got my first payment. It is hard for me to say no to my children.dunno

I bought my son a car when he wasnt doing good....cost..2000 dollars...a year later he approaches me and asks if i want to buy the car i bought for him...I said"How much"...he said "2000 dollars!!.......rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing (you gotta just laugh about it)..

Now I know Namaron what you mean by a human sponge. Yes I know a human sponge. He is a repair man. I never know if the things he says need to be repaired or he is just ripping me off. The bill just keeps going higher and higher.

Hello nam,handshake , There no shortage sponges in the world. I don t mind helping people in need, but me I usually help the wrong people.( people who don t appreciate my help, or say thanks) And there s those sponges who s passion is to get something, anything from others, it feeds their twisted egos.I find if I don't tell these sponges No,very mad , they always seem to appear out of no where with their hands outdoh

Met the type too and just finally learned to say NO.
One lady asked for help cleaning her car. Pronto was done.
Figuring she found an easy mark now asked to have her gutters cleaned for her, now said no..............
Picked me up from the bus twice. It is about 2 miles from home.
Took her to the airport, at least 40 km drive, she told me she would rather pay me as the taxi driver.
No money showed up. Picked her up from the airport another time, same story, no money.............
Last year she asked would I take her to the airport and I told her NO! "Oh she said you are busy?"
I told her no I am not too busy just don't feel like it.
Lol I added, I suppose I could not have said it any plainer could I?"
Did she now give up?
NO, well I thought that having taken you to the twice............Oh boy, I now let her have it.
I could write a book with a lot of stories.

People have told me that others are using me, I told them that I know this, but up too a point.
I have learned to say NO!

Well in the case of family, you could always create an account, then include the debit amount in your will and make sure the will lists the amount as a debit used to reduce the inheritance size accordingly with the money debited going for cancer research or project SETI instead. That'll get their attention. laugh

Hiya Nam...I've met the human sponge in many varieties...They are handy though coz can learn a few things off them...heart beating Like playing the same game...Human sponges really hate that...rolling on the floor laughing
