What men say they want??? vs. What they really mea
I have only been on this site for 3-4 weeks and I find it rather amusing when I read a man’s profile in regards to what they “say” they want or are looking for in a woman. Some men say they want a woman who is intelligent, yet, when you start a conversation and he feels intimidated by the woman’s level of intellect it is as if he expects the woman to dumb down her intelligence to suit his feelings of inadequacy. Hint for the men…do not just focus on looks, I think for the most part…people no longer think stupid is sexy…any more so than, a good looking woman lacks intellectual substance. Nor should you kid yourself or lie as to your level of education. If a woman lists her level of education…irrespective of the discipline…then be prepared to have an intelligible conversation. It is okay if you do not understand something…say so, learn and move on… don’t become defensive then try to transpose your feelings of inadequacy onto someone else by making the situation into a personal attack…LEARN!!! This is not a competition of the intellect…it is a site to meet new people, and perhaps develop a relationship whatever that may be to whomever. Allow me to make myself very clear…I am not saying that someone who has formal education is more intelligent than someone who does not…it depends on the intellect of the individual as I do not discount other factors such as Life experience, training whether vocational, trade etc…and lets not discount the notion “common sense make before book”. I am a firm believer of this principle. You have many out there who have degrees whether an Associate’s degree, Bachelors, Masters, or Doctorate and some are as dumb as a door knob. If you lack general wisdom, discernment and common sense…well…I think we get the picture. I do not profess to know everything…however, I will take whatever step is necessary to learn…so therefore, if I do not know something, I will use whatever means whether a dictionary, library, internet, research, a book etc… to learn…I love learning it is an intrinsic part of who I am as a person…I am curious… There is nothing sexier than a man who has a propensity to learn and share what he has learned with others from a humanistic and humble standpoint absent testosterone and ego. This is not about the battle of the sexes…this is about humanity…connecting.

Don't worry, there are smart, open-minded, interesting, and interested, men on here too.
Just say 'next' when you come across the wrong kind
I think I state in my profile I am looking for somebody with intelligence. That does not mean I am smart, I am just looking for somebody to carry me through life....simple. I think you are looking too deep into things. lol
Yep. I shur do.
I put up a blog asking what is intelligence. At the end of the day it only relates to what our particular needs are as we all have different desires and are stimulated by different things.
Be yourself and live and let live is the only way in my opinion.
It seems like a short period of time (3-4 weeks) to have accumulated so much data on mans education prowess or lack of to write a blog about it, but will give you that one. Or is there a hidden agenda here
Rules of women don't like to be labeled feminist and men don't like to be emasculated..
Some people who have degrees may seem to you to be as dumb as a door knob, but everyone has different strenghts and different weaknesses in every discipline.
And your moniker is unbecoming of a person blessed by God..
Have a great day
Everybody proves that in their own special way.
However a previous relative of mine who was a Professor and learned man lacked the basic pre-requisite of true intelligence and that is keep your sub-conscious brain tightly zipped up and allow the conscious intelligence to keep your marriage flowing....
