If you are an honest and trustworthy person, that is not going to change because of technology.
The internet has allowed users to be less than truthful in discourse, thus facilitating dishonest and untrustworthy communications.
It is the person and their message that is at fault - not the medium.
in some way molly i agree but i think it had widen the opportunity of communications and broaden the mind of people where they can pick choose so it had made it easier to lie and be dishonest take for instance a cell phone because of its mobility it is easier to lie telling a person you are in a area u are not even close to back when you had a cord that can only take u so far u gotta be honest either u are home or not. dont get me wrong i love the internet i wish people would just be honest.

honestly i think less lies would have been told if communication with so many people on such a huge scale wasn't available.

like when penpal was the norm.
of course u are right oldmanribber
i am not getting laid, anyway, so it doesnt bother me .mumbling
I agree with Molly on this one. But I also think that it encourages people who would not normally lie to do so. They may feel that they need to lie, in order to be noticed in this vast sea. I'm not condoning this action of course. Just pointing out the obvious I guess...

Btw Georgie, how is good old JA these days? (my folks are originally from there)
Being honest and truthful is a decision you make not the Internet....
However you can use the Internet as an excuse to lie and deceive
Simply by saying to yourself...I have been lie to and deceived ...so I can lie and deceive ...you try to justify it ...
