Yes, some of the products are beneficial, there is no doubt about that. But as you said, they are for prolonging life, often for longterm use, rather than actually curing.
They don't want healthy people.
More and more people are turning to natural medicine and homeopathy.
People are becoming aware.
But also read some interesting stuff about homeopathy medicine especially regarding cancers,....
Problem..reaction..solution.
Also the side affects that medications can cause etc etc.
As for killing you slowly is some kind of slow torture.
The emphasis being put on the killing and not on keeping you healthy.

Before long, every emotion and human reaction will be labelled and drugs prescribed for it.
People will have to start taking personal responsibility for their own health and not leave their fate in the hands of the medical profession.

Regarding emotional and mental illnesses..when kids are a bit more active than the norm they are diagnosed as "hyperactive " and given Ritalin from an early age.

There was a big case a few years ago, something similar to your friend's one. They promised the earth to desperate clients and gave them false hope and nothing else.
That does such a disservice to all the good practitioners out there who are ethical.
People do have to take responsibilities for their own health, it is known that e. g. diabetes type 2 can be avoided/cured by lifestyle changes, so why are people still taking medication? Because it is easier to pop a pill than to live healthy.
People are getting older these days. If all medication wouldn't work, that wouldn't be the case. There is medication that is necessary and then there is medication that isn't. It is up to every person to determine what is beneficial to them or what to avoid.
I have experienced women with post-natal depression - it didn't enter their minds that they had a problem. In these cases medication helped.
Anytime new reseach discovers something to help people with ms, the research is wisked away, and studied, and critisized till it disappears,
There are pills that MIGHT help people with ms , those pills cost 100,000 dollars per year, for might help,
As for myself, I m refusing any medication for ms, I see too many people with ms taking medication for ms that does NOTHING.
I figure diet is the best thing for ms, and that I can monitor, not some drug company
