pharmaceutical drug companies...

What are your views, are they pulling our pants down and pulling the wool over our eyes, are they protected so to carry on making billions, I personally think they have the cures for all lifes ills and disesase but instead just keep making meds to prolong our lives instead of cure which in turn would ruin their profits,...

Scotty I think you might be right on this.hug If they have the cures then there goes all that money.
Well they will still make money as we will always have illness and disease and new ones come a long all the time, they could in effect price themselves out with the cure but I still think its all about the money and not preserving lives,......hug
Big pharma doesn't care about our health. They care about profit.
In the same way as MacDonalds doesn't care about our nutrition.
Yes, some of the products are beneficial, there is no doubt about that. But as you said, they are for prolonging life, often for longterm use, rather than actually curing.
I don't think they want to prolong your life but to kill you slowly.

They don't want healthy people.

More and more people are turning to natural medicine and homeopathy.

People are becoming aware.
Prolong your life/kill you slowly, same thing dan,.......

But also read some interesting stuff about homeopathy medicine especially regarding cancers,....
I believe that they want to try their new drugs on us and they're inventing diseases to go with it.

Problem..reaction..solution.
It wouldnt surprise me at all, just makes my blood boil in how they can get away with playing god,....
Watched a commercial one time where if someone took the medication for heart issues there was a good it could kill them.

Also the side affects that medications can cause etc etc.
I know it means the same Scotty but prolonging sounds like a pleasant healthy life.

As for killing you slowly is some kind of slow torture. dunno

The emphasis being put on the killing and not on keeping you healthy.
Right CC. thumbs up
@dan I guess so,......

@Cc people are paid to be human guinea pigs,....
Pharma corporations are definitely inventing mental health problems for drugs they have designed.

Before long, every emotion and human reaction will be labelled and drugs prescribed for it.

People will have to start taking personal responsibility for their own health and not leave their fate in the hands of the medical profession.
I think thats where homeopathy will kick in,.........

@Pat you have a good point, we cant even provide third world countries with clean water which in this day and age is a disgrace,......
My mother took drugs for 1-2 weeks, if she felt not better, she flushed the pills down the toilet. She always said' It's poison.
She lived to be 94 years old.

NEXT wave
Well there has to be a natural source as most drugs are made from every natural thing on this earth,...

@BC, your mom sounds like a good example of the placebo effect,........
Exactly the point I was making Molly.thumbs up

Regarding emotional and mental illnesses..when kids are a bit more active than the norm they are diagnosed as "hyperactive " and given Ritalin from an early age.
When they become adults they're on Prosac.
Yeah Pat, there are parasites in the alternative health industry too.

There was a big case a few years ago, something similar to your friend's one. They promised the earth to desperate clients and gave them false hope and nothing else.

That does such a disservice to all the good practitioners out there who are ethical.
I take meds but they dont do anything apart from give me really bad side effects when I try to stop, I just think after a long time your body and brain become immune to them,....
@Molly theres con artists every where looking for the easy desperate target and sickening these people can sleep at night,.....
I have dealt with enough doctors to not believe one second that the ones I dealt with are only in for the money or would prescribe something that didn't work.

People do have to take responsibilities for their own health, it is known that e. g. diabetes type 2 can be avoided/cured by lifestyle changes, so why are people still taking medication? confused Because it is easier to pop a pill than to live healthy.

People are getting older these days. If all medication wouldn't work, that wouldn't be the case. There is medication that is necessary and then there is medication that isn't. It is up to every person to determine what is beneficial to them or what to avoid.
Good point Kn, what would you say about people who suffer with depression?..........
I haven't had depression myself and simply don't know if it helps. As with every other illness, I would go to a specialist and see what they have to say. Would also look at alternative possibilities.

I have experienced women with post-natal depression - it didn't enter their minds that they had a problem. In these cases medication helped.
Fair enough,........
Hello Scotty, handshake As a number of you here on CS know, I have ms, And my case isn t terribly bad, its not progressing, I ve lost weight, and need a cane to walk, I m surviving. For all the reseach , and money spent on ms, not much accomplished. We have the pill of the week club, doh and the new cure of the month club, doh
Anytime new reseach discovers something to help people with ms, the research is wisked away, and studied, and critisized till it disappears, very mad
There are pills that MIGHT help people with ms , those pills cost 100,000 dollars per year, for might help, doh
As for myself, I m refusing any medication for ms, I see too many people with ms taking medication for ms that does NOTHING.
I figure diet is the best thing for ms, and that I can monitor, not some drug company
Back Again, in case anyone is wondering where , I m getting my info, I did plenty of work for MS groups. Support groups, and fund raising groups.Got to know plenty of people with ms.
1to1to1 that is wonderful
Hi 1to1,...wave My friend suffers with that and some days too tired and weak to even get out of bed, you sound like a tough character though that has learnt to live with it, good for you and all the groups for Ms that you do,......beer
