JJ, wait until Map or some of the other techie people come on to explain it properly

As long as you are happy with the results, and the cost is ok, then win win thumbs up
yeah seems better have been having a look about quicker anyway
map he tested when he put in says 150 ..is new fibre wire our area is just lucky to get this im told as its out in a rural place...is for a year and you can have 300 a minute but is dearer now if they up after a year they can have back then I will have goon line anyway ...I thought it would be a big jb ..as my alarb and a few other things are attached to this line .he never touched nothing nice and tidy ....is same line as ever for phone this one is direc in from rd
Molly, I think I have lived under this rock a while and in Western Countries (sic) things have improved with the newer tech available now. I have the fastest in town here at 18mb, its enough for me and I have IPTV without any issues at all.
Only computer geeks could have made computer speed so complicated, naming bits & bites ( one is 8 of the other & no I can't which is which) so when they're abbreviated they're both mb, but whatever as most servers use the Spanish postal service to deliver packets of data having, and paying for, a whopping speed is pretty much a waste of time & money imo, a steady 3mb will cope with most things, problem here is you can't complain till it drops below a tenth of the advertised speed & at that speed you can't stream TV, so JJ if you have over say 10mb you should have ample for TV.

Map I can hit 1000mb here.............for a 1000th of a second laugh but it averages out about 15mb in summer when the Lemmings are here & 40 odd in winter.
Jim, I'm impressed but as I just commented is it really needed?, I have TV via the internet here with every Sky channel in Europe, thousands of movies and box sets and no buffering at all and on 18mb. One thing I dont have is water!.
Z, You have decent speeds when the Lemmings are gone, we dont get Lemmings here so it doesnt change, but at least I have free wifi from everyone here in town, plus nearby towns supply free wifi to all without passwords.
Map, where I am there's no water, drains, telephone, gas, electricity, even road laugh I'm on a private network that works on microwave tech, e15 a month, ask no questions get told no lies, a wink's as good as a nod to a blind man rolling on the floor laughing
Z..rolling on the floor laughing "say no more!" (taps side of nose) These smaller towns had so many illegal hookups even after the smart electric meters were installed they simply shove their house cables into the exposed junction boxes, Water is so cheap considering we dont have much now, they turn the pressure down or shut the main valves
mountain man agree with them bites is meaningless to me too on water we has loads here lakes of it everywhere freee water on tap .and I stll buys in lidl is handy and cheap am not inrto filtering some are ...is working well anyway ..you gets 2 weeks trial period
thanks for all assistance
Just think of a Megabyte as a page of writing. At 3 megabytes per second (Mbs) you are downloading 3 pages in 1 second. Now, with a fibre connection, you are downloading 150 pages per second.
So yes, your computer is much faster at downloading data, including streaming movies etc without buffering pauses.
yeah allen its going well .one problem is my landline now not working so tomorrow will get back to fix but sseeems a lot better
doh dear me i would just like a bite grin slowly thoughlaugh laugh

JJ i just keep switching for best finacial deal as now the slower the better for me. I find if you pay years subs to any of them you usually get cash back and two months free line rentallaugh not bad that
