Impressions CS The First 24 hours

Well, first of all Greetings and welcome to my very first blog here! The subject is very simple, self-explanatory and I thought that it could be a good start.
So where to start? From a cliché: Every story has a beginning and this particular one begins when this site simple kept popping up at one of my super google research adventures. I've seen a few threads at the forum here and a question comes immediately to mind: what are you seeking here? What brought you to CS, etc etc... I'm afraid I can't present you with the traditional answers as none of them would apply. Basically I'm not seeking for this particular thing or that particular thing, I have expectations and the expectations I have are those of curiosity and a welcoming thrill to what a new venue, new world has to offer.
You see, people fascinates me. Each of us with our own perspectives, a full universe inside our minds that sees, feels, operates in a way that other's can't quite comprehend and yet, the very entanglement of our origin brings us all to be one.
It's all about sharing perspectives, moments and letting it unfold and as it unfolds, it moulds our perceptions and impressions of things.
So here I am, and here you are.
A short, simple introduction post was the entrance style I have opted here and received with warm and light welcomes. Didn't take long and the first flowers begins to arrive, roses at most ( there is a fascinating appeal about roses yes?) with sweet welcoming messages and some with a hint of "further contact wanted" implicit. Quite gentle remarks, some even carefully chosen. ( One can perceive the copy and paste styles )
It was a quite light, gentle fine impression from the community.
And next came the mails, messages. Each with their own style, their own wanting, their own expectations explicit with each line.
I try my best to reply the messages I receive, leaving my own feelings quite implicit too. The content depends a lot whether it causes me an impression or not but nonetheless I'm a believer that if someone has spent a fraction of their time dedicated to you at any form, that should be at least courteously replied. Be that a simple ' thanks for writing ' or a more interesting note as " will be a pleasure to keep in touch " from a few special ones that really makes you feel to sit down, appreciate, savour the message, go beyond the lines and find the sender and try to establish a start connection with him/her.
I can safely say that I have had all the above within this short first 24 hours here.
Some would ask: what about the negative sides, scams, weird offensive messages, insults? Obviously they exist here and maybe, or maybe not I will come to meet one or two but haven't happened so far.
On the negative side of things, what I have perceived in general from the profiles that I have had the chance to browse even superficially is the striking majority that chooses to concentrate on the " Don't " side of things. So many people making the option to present themselves and the "partner " description with highlights to everything they don't want but so few choosing to actually show the contrary. Too many Anti-war but so few Pro peace. Too many "I don't want liers" and so few " I seek honesty"
Just an observation more than a criticism, on a general pattern of presenting things.

Anyway, so what more can I say? At this point, just a warm thanks to the community for a quite pleasing reception and I hope to continue to meet interesting people here!

See you next time around, thanks for reading!

One of the best sophisticated worldly-wise minds I ever came across...
I never expected a Brasilian lady could be so explicit, leaving nothing merely implied, handling words in English, not in her native language..
So simple and yet so enlighted.. Bravo to the author...
Bem feito...

Whether it was putting in an extra beat,
or leaving one out, I couldn't tell.
My heart seemed to have forgotten
everything it ever knew
about timing and co-ordination
in its efforts to get through to someone
on the other side of a wall.
As I lay in bed, I could hear it
hammering away inside my pillow,
being answered now and then
by a distant guitar-note of bedsprings,
pausing for a moment, as if listening,
Then hurrying on as before.
Thank you kindly Aeropos, as a matter of fact I'm Swedish / Brazilian, living here now and absolutely loving it.
My warmest regards!
Thank you Stephanie for being such a polite person... have been in Sweden but never in Brasil, I regret it now because I had my chances when young to visit this magnificent original country..
It's never too late Aeropos and I'm sure that Brazil will always conserve it's inherent enchantment to be savoured by hungry eyes! wine

Thank you again for your kind words, all the best!
I can really relate to the whole idea of wanting to meet and greet all different kinds of people. Its what, for me, keeps this site from going stale. Having said that.. welcome to CS. You will undoubtedly be forced into getting to know me because I love to talk to people and I very often speak my mind. I like your linguistic style, so I look forward to reading more of what you have to say. wine
