no self confidence

something always buffles me as in how do people start
praising other countries and forget their own..

I do always move from countries to countries for certain reasons but
never do I at any time forget where I come from.
and its funny some chinese look alike faces calling her self an american or african as if the origin country is a curse to mention about...

I think confidence pride is all I call self love
I mean having your culture to praise is health other than praising a foreign
one just simply you want to fit in society and maybe you went to those
other countries for studies or marriage or born there and you now forgot
your origins....

I can't hurt myself to this I am seeing here or in the name of survival for fitness...
@selflove is everything because it comes naturally at no costs.barf doh cheering

Well, good for you
but your mind is still fogy ... powerful brainwash methods put in words,- patriotism ,race, religion -its hard to free your mind and beat the system
Blog #1
You are correct.
Lots of people do forget, or want to forget, their country of origin, as they think it sounds better to be associated with a different country.
stuck
what is it with blog #1
molly
I think they feel ashamed of their own origins ...

as for me even if my country is washed off by rains it will
still be mine... imagine those countries without water or rain
I would walk with my head high for having those rains..
yeah because I am having something natural others are lucking..
I should be proud of what I have that others luck
I'm a bit confused now, My forefather arrived here in 1679 from France and I'm the ninth generation in South-Africa. Now I ask myself, what am I? If I'm not an African. Can I dare to call myself a Frenchman?confused

I cannot even speak French... Mind you, I have a French family name.grin
hug
Only 9 generations?
That would still be considered a blow-in (newcomer) here laugh
I can´t hide myself ....I´m galician and look exactly like most of them, funny thing ....years ago a friend of mine (newyorker from italian father and german mother) told me: "until you speak you look like a typical american" ....no the best time to post my reply to him here lol!

But I´m also been told to look Greek? LOL! that was really funny, that guy was drunk obviously conversing

In any case: "Meigas fora!" hole

wave
yes catfoot
you are still french living in africa.
cach
atleast you tell people who you are that surely
is a better thing thuogh many doubt you....

ok there looks that get people confused to tell where
some people come from and there are those crystal
clear ones that you don't need even to ask where they
are from......
Unfortunately people deny their originarities I think to
feel sweet or great or superior on others simply because they have a certain mentality.
good point . no one cant change their origin or nationality more than we can change our skin.. but i think some people does try to forget where they are coming from because it leave a bad taste in their mouth.. in other words the things the horror they have gone through.. while some just as you stated want to associate themselves with another because of status and pride ..
still we dont know the majority or the minority and their reasons ..

for instance .. if you ive in a certain part of your country that is looked upon as bad in a way where it hamper your progress in moving forward.. you cant get a job when you submit your application because your address stated that you are from such place . medically you are treated like a lepar .. etc etc .. what would you do?
there are countries that is so bad no one wants to go there so coming from there you are viewed and categorize as the same as all..you got a chance to get out then you want to leave that behind you.. am just saying.. we cant all just judge people for what they chose to do.. sometimes if we dont try another persons shoes we dont know how hard it is ..

some people even have to lie on their application in their own country to even get by.. and again thats just what i think..

sorry for my missing commas etc..
Bonjour Mademoiselle

Tu as fait ma journée.

Et je te souhaite un bon aussilaugh
georgia
its not about putting yourself in to someones shoes.
as for job search its way different and difficult for certain
reasons why other nationalities are favoured and get hired
sometimes you don't have to put a blame on others we all
get it so low for own ignorance...
ignorance is our major problem judging the entire country over a handful people because of the past or what is showcased on social media...
and sometimes thats the game...
I think you only trying to twist my post thats where you
lost it...

no matter what I can't forget my originality and start praising another country because its on the world map
convincing the rest its better I say again I haven't seen a
country without people being homeless or sleeping on streets...
Teaching us pledges and nationalism in our youth is how old men get young to throw their lives away killing other young men in battlefiels s all over this world. We would be much better off if we all took the Eistien approach and renounced our citizenship and became citizens of the world.applause peace hug
uncle hi
we should become world citizens yes but our differences in many ways,
our egos can't let us and moreover the world inhabits us all
doh
Hmmmm,

how about Integration.....Finland my where I'm born, don't look or act like the country I left 27 years ago, invaders have change it and change it more with speed.....I have integrate to my home country Antigua and even so much, that my Antiguan friend said, that I'm not white anymore,in his opinion I'm red.....perhaps I'm more like an American Indian from where I'm coming and where I was in my past lifeconfused laugh ......anyway I tell all the time to my Friends in Finland, how much better it is in Antigua, because I took Integration seriously and as I was given things that is important for me,what I could not get from Finland.....yes,I am so thankful for all I have get from Antiguans, that were ever I possible move,Antiguans are always going to be my People too......
Happy New Year, Hatelies!

This subject is kinda complicated, I think it depends in one's situation.
I'm a very proud Filipino and sometimes it annoys me when some people thinks I'm Chinese or Japanese herelaugh and it's also confusing when I'm asked where I'm from and to show my identification, and I say I'm Filipino but holding out a Jordanian ID and license, it makes people stare at me. I could never say I'm Jordanian because I look completely different but at the same time it's a hassle having to explain yourself, I simply try to keep a low profile laugh
Crazy,

it is simple, because you have not integrate.......I always talk about we Antiguans and nobody react in anyway to it.....and it is,because they can feel, that I feel ,that I am one of them......I was 8 month out from Antigua and in everyplace, where they know me they are coming to me and welcome me back......yesterday the man that is working in the security for the resort, where inside I have my Land, came to my car and took my hand and kept it in his hand for a long time and said several times to me,that he is happy, that I am back......different skin color or outlook, has no meaning,if you send out real feelings, that you are of the same people.....and they know, that I honestly feel for them.
biff
I didn't jugde anybody I pointed out a subject
now I should tell this some countries can't guarantee
you citizenship simply yuo born in that country in case you
thought by birth its an automatic citizenship please no
you are not given or even called a country man of that
country.....
thats why I said Cat is still french living in a different side of
a different country.......
to you your south african but in actual sense your scotia
and don't forget that you have not such scenario where they
say that those that don't belong here must leave and allocate to their origins.......

it always happens with these political changes.
Semus
people can't forget their own even though you had gone
too long ....you antiguan not finish.
Crazy
for you the entire environment you live in I can tell
the situation ....
you were married their own but still they view you as someone
from another side of Asia.
because of your looks are different from Jordanians
sure they will keep asking.
Hat,
If we had DNA testing done, practically everybody would find they have links to different countries. Especially those who live in colonised countries like in Africa, America, etc.
But that doesn't mean they are not from that country.
If i moved to a different country tomorrow, I would still be Irish, I would still feel Irish.
However, if it just happened that my fore-fathers had moved to a country, and I had never known anything but living in that country, I would consider myself as from that country.
I couldn't feel I was from a country I was never in, never lived in, even if my fore-fathers were from that country.
Worth watching..
