European women.....

....in my limited experience (only a few foreign lady consorts), I must disagree with the popular wisdom of the American GI in both European wars, and the media they followed. Especially concerning French ladies. Now, statistically speaking, my sample size for EU girls is limited. But there remain, even in younger generations of men here, ideas about such ladies and their personal habits of hygiene. Unshaven arm pits and lower legs for sure. But how about replacing frequent bathing with copious use of body scents/perfumes? Perhaps times have changed, or maybe I've just been with the wrong women. During his Russian campaigns, little Napoloen B. supposedly had a message sent to his squeezes back in Paris. "I'll be home in two weeks---don't wash." Sounds even better in French.

Flying high and going strong! 86-year-old becomes the world's longest-serving flight attendant

Flying high and going strong! 86-year-old becomes the world's longest-serving flight attendant after 65 YEARS of service in the skies - having started her career when plane tickets were hand-written and cost just $12.
65 years ago, Bette Nash landed a job as an Eastern Airlines flight attendant, and she has been pushing beverage carts and giving safety instructions ever since.
Bette, from Manassas, Virginia, took her first flight as a teen and quickly fell in love with the 'spiffy appearances and gracious manners of the crew members'.
When she started her career in 1957, things were certainly different - flights were $12, tickets were hand-written, and schedules were displayed on chalkboards.

Many things changed over the years, but there's one thing that stayed the same - the people. She said, 'They have the same needs - a little love and attention' . Bette, who now works for American Airlines, is most known for her 'warm hospitality,' and is said to 'greet every face with a smile'. The flight attendant has no plans to retire any time soon, with her explaining, 'As long as I have my health and I’m able, why not work. It’s still fun'. (By LILLIAN GISSEN FOR DAILYMAIL.COM)

Artist Draws Astounding Portraits with Both Her Hands and Feet at the Same Time – By Andy Corbl

With a brush in each limb, a Dutch artist is going viral for her ability to draw portraits with all four hands and feet simultaneously.

Rajacenna, an artist from Rotterdam, can complete up to six illustrations at the same time—two for each hand, and one for each foot.

“In 2019 the idea came to me to be more productive because I didn’t make any artworks for the previous years due to health issues,” said Rajacenna, who prefers to keep her surname and age confidential.

She started drawing at the age of 16 and soon became a published artist, eventually teaching herself how to draw with her feet and hands to stop herself from getting bored.

“I didn’t practice it at all and just started doing it.”

Rajacenna claims that the root of her talent lies in her brain, and that she once took an EEG scan which revealed extraordinary brain performance while drawing.

“The connectivity between the left and right brain are totally connected and three times higher than normal,” she explained. “So they exchange information at a very fast speed.”

“It’s constantly multitasking between all the drawing that I’m working on. I switch my focus back and forth,” she added. “The latest pieces I created with pencils and paint. I don’t really think about the techniques I use.”

She often works with portraits, mostly public figures such as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Billie Eilish, or Justin Bieber, with a set needing around 40 hours of work.

“I always draw people that I love and inspire me, for my other work I love to create things from my imagination.”

Dark stubble, VERY dark, on a hot Mediterranean lady's lower legs...

...bet all here thought my political rants were crazy enough. And I don't digress. But really, I've examined my share of female bodies, alive and not so much, both professionally and also not so much, but I was nonplussed, I say, nonplussed!!! The facts, ma'am, just the facts. So, she had been walking in for coffee into my cafe Memoir writing haunt for some time, but hell, why would she even look at me, let alone put up with my lame pick up jive. Slim, svelte, just a tad of olive complexion, mid 40's, thickly cropped dark hair--with just a touch of sexy grey streaking, and a physique to match. Dual citizenship. Had the green eyes going as well. And tall enough to eat soup off my head. I'll admit, these types scare me, and not merely for the oodles of femme fatale Jones often involved. (Das gebrannte Kind, scheut das Feuer.) Moth and flickering candle. But she actually struck up a conversation with me, apparently having seen me on the vintage shinny Gold Wing. She had this crappy older rusty Beemer wagon, costing her hundreds of dollars monthly, at a totally honest shop. (Good caring guys, all). So, of course I play up the interest in vintage vehicles, and she gets emotional, talking about what a money pit her beloved crappy BMW had become. Well, with nary a trace of base self- interest, my honorable chivalrous side instantly kicked in. Being, ceteris paribus, a bit of a motor head, she wouldn't be the first distressed damsel this old goat offered to help find a used car. More a case of keeping her from buying junk impulsively. So, one solid decade old cherry Volvo wagon later, she waltzes in to the Coop Cafe again, and proceeds to buy me a nice gift certificate, which she refused to let me refuse. Well, one thing led to another, before I was predictably, but at least ceremoniously, dumped, remaining text pals. She was anyway in the process of moving away during the car search. But those lower legs. oy weh! She always wore tights, no complaints all around, and once, while sitting, with a right leg up, semi yoga style, I saw it all. From just above the medial ankle to mid calf, the lovely skin had hundreds, perhaps thousands, of what at first looked like closed comedones (black heads). They were from shaving the fur, clearly, but just what was I seeing? I'm used to blondes, with the mohn sometimes in no need of the razor at all, ever, if never having begun this bestial act in the first place, slaves to culture all. Wondered I, was she just between regular scrapings, had she never heard of Nair, or of electrolysis. or JUST WTF!?!? Plumb confused, and then before she broke the boys' hearts here and moved away, the stubble was gone! Perhaps it was all only a dream.

Watching movies

Watching movie, things I love to do after doing all the errands and home work.

Lay your back on a soft sofa, dim the room by just some candle with scent, then some popcorn, chips, taco and wine or soda.

Watching movies gives the fantasies that for two hours watching it tend to forget for a moment the sad pandemic brought us.

Watching movies gives the mind and heart calm and smile for the moment not to worry on something.

Watching movies give the action for the moment cause in reality we are cornered by this situation to just stay home so we get safe.

Watching movies makes time fly fast but gives you enough time to watch some of the serries and fav actors you missed for many years and months because you've been busy working.

Watching movies gives the dream to be with that person when in reality ehmm by yourself.

Watching movies... how I wish to enjoy watching the romantic drama or action, fiction or documentaries and many other more during this time with someone right not for the moment but a person who'll stay for long term or til life last.

I know life is not like a movies but sometimes it's good to just have a moment peace that you don't have anything in mind and see the best in it. head banger banana dancing

Well, here's some trivia, you may not have known

There used to be a TV show called The Monkees.
It was based on a Beatles type pop band, that was actually made for the TV show.
They started with the singer and added musicians to form the band.

In the beginning the actual musicians were studio musicians, rather than the TV star band.
Nonetheless, the TV band included Davy Jones (the main vocalist), Peter Tork, Mickey Dolenz and Michael Nesmith.

Now, here's the somewhat unrelated (by one sense of the word) trivia.

Who invented the product 'White - Out' ?

Well, actually, it was originally called 'Mistake Out' and later became 'Liquid Paper'

The answer is Michael Nesmith's mom, Bette Nesmith Graham.

Early life and education
Acton was born Amy Stearns and raised on the north side of Youngstown, Ohio, living "in 18 different places in a 12-year period, including in a tent when she was homeless." She described in a 2020 interview with Youngstown's WKBN having random neighbors give her and her brother breakfast "because they knew we were hungry" and also "people looking the other way, not wanting their kids to play with me because we were dirty and smelly." She described in a 2019 interview being neglected and abused while she lived with her mother following her parents' divorce. By 7th grade she was living with her father in a more stable environment, and at Liberty High School was a member of the National Honor Society and Homecoming queen.

She attended Youngstown State University and earned a medical degree from Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine in 1990, working to pay her way through college. She earned a master's in public health from The Ohio State University. She served residencies at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and at Nationwide Children's Hospital.

Career
Acton taught at Ohio State University as an associate professor of public health. She worked at the Columbus Foundation as a grants manager. She was director of Project LOVE (Love Our kids, Vaccinate Early).

In February of 2019, Ohio governor Mike DeWine made her his final cabinet pick as director of the Department of Health. The search process was lengthy, as DeWine had been determined to have the right person in charge in a crisis. Acton is the first woman in the post. The two previous incumbents were a lawyer and a marketing director; DeWine mentioned wanting to "rethink how we approach this department".

In 2020, during the coronavirus pandemic, Acton advised Governor Mike DeWine, who became the first governor in the nation to shut down schools and limit gatherings to no more than 100 people, despite the fact Ohio at the time had only 3 confirmed cases. Ohio was also the first state to shut down bars and restaurants, done at a point when Ohio had fewer than 40 confirmed cases. Acton soon after estimated that Ohio's then 5 confirmed cases likely translated to 100,000 actual cases, making national news. In mid-March, she predicted cases could peak in late April to mid-May.

On March 12, she predicted of the coronavirus pandemic that "This will be the thing this generation remembers." Ohio House Minority Leader Emilia Sykes called her "the real MVP of Ohio’s coronavirus response." The Dayton Daily News called her "Ohio's trusted face during the pandemic."

Acton was key in the decision to postpone Ohio's 2020 primary and issues election, which was slated for March 17, 2020. The day before the scheduled election, Governor DeWine declared it canceled, only for a judge to rule that he did not have the authority to do so. Acton then ordered polling places closed due a public health emergency. It was later determined that the election would be conducted entirely by mail-in absentee ballot for those who had not participated in early voting.

In March 2020, Ohio T-shirt manufacturer Homage released a t-shirt that paid tribute to her. CNN in April 2020 called her "the Buckeye state's version of the straight-talking Dr. Anthony Fauci".
