...to date. First, almost lost count of all the TD-HDS ruses to overturn the 2016 election so far. Stormy Whore Daniels, Anxious Whore Mueller... And almost a dozen more, all no where near being able to overturn the election. In fact, they didn't even affect ratings, which (see below) was part of the double teaming effort against our brilliant President Trump, now for 3 YEARS, nonstop! Have you noticed, all, that with each failure, two things occur? The ueber left and in tow biased media become more frantic each time, AND their tactics become more secretive, bold, brazen and of questionable legality. Ask yourselves the following. Why the avoidance of a timely vote to impeach? Why all the secrecy surrounding "geaned valid" information? Still no direct vetted testiclemony from that initial Schiff coached all important Whistle Blower---in fact, does she really exist, and as with all other ruses, after first hearing of it, and engendering biased media/leaked anti Trump ammo, it's all cricket chirps. Almost no further word following each pitifully failed scurilous attack.The latest and boldest example is releasing Taylor's damning 15 page statement, but as to public vettting of his actual examination, chirps again. Why so much in closed doors, with practically no bicameral participation? Indeed, why this last "Hearing", never declared top secret, or even classsified, but being held in the Faraday Cage deepest bowels of the Congress building, doors closed tight, with neither even biased media nor GOP reps present? How odd that there's every time a tree top absence of openness, but each time, a Niagra Falls of press leaks? Think, it's all a blaring subversion of what the brilliant Founding Fathers meant the Impeachment process to be. Many more such questions, but here's a good answer. It's the SWAMP, in ever increasing death throes, practicing, as we used to say in the service, force protection-damage control. Many think that with creepy demented Joe's record of corruption in Ukraine, there'd be nonstop laser focus on the country. But au contraire, my thinking CS non lemmings, it's much more nuanced than that. There's actually a great fear in the more benthic levels of the SWAMP concerning too much more from Ukraine. Sen. McConnel was best of buddies with major Rino Sen. John McCain. The latter was, as with the Bidens, deep into Ukrainian coruption. Only unlike the money grubbing Bidens, he was primarily interested in helping to throw the election for Hilary. But don't take my word for it, just follow AG Barr's growing proto list of indictees, dead or living. Finally, have your helmets and flack vests on for the media spin blitz on how brazen was the dozen GOP reps entrance into the Faraday Cage, forcing Rep. Adam Piece of Schiff (POS) to escape with the pizza, beer and hand held sequestered witness to some even deeper bunker. It's actually the first (finally) salvo of Trump approved counter attacks to get the whole Impeachment "process" back onto costitutional and legal tracks. All that is lacking is for the Senate to begin thoroughly vetting EVERY "witness" , again, in total openness, that the House committee have already done. Don't be surprised, Oh ye Peebles, if Sen. McConnel continues to fight such tooth and nail, in deep SWAMP protection mode. Plenty of other GOP vulnerable Swamp critters lurk as well. It's all hopeless, but meant, in true TD-HDS fashion, via leaks, to hurt the real Patriotic candidates in 2020. Make it drawn out, keep it secret, and leak like mad. Notice, unlike for the deeply suffering TD-HDS folks here, there is no compulsively lengthy copying of lifted press "facts" on yellow background in this blog. Another feature of the syndrome-helplessly marshalling alleged "evidence" to bolster great self insecurities of the Bloggers themselves. Here in the West, many often like to look down our noses at various corrupt poor countries, where this scourge of civilization occurs at many levels. The West sends lots of money for health/infrastructure/nutrition, and the people never see any of it, ---some fat medal chested general and cronies/hacks get most of it. Sure, when a legislator here in the fat West, induced by lobbiests with big bucks, has a military installation placed in her district, of course it's a form of corruption. But on more local levels, petty official corruption seems much more common in the so called developing world. Just got another code compliant building permit for another penthouse on the 20th floor, of VIERK mansion number 6. It cost the $35 for the permit, paid by anyone, but I didn't have to slip a C note (M) taped into the inside of the application to the official. Most of you have heard of how it is much different in many poorer places, where the rule of law is more fleeting. In the subcontinent, it's called "dash". Electrical and other tricks may be involved. Ancient cellular tricks indeed, they do it all the time, using such so called secondary messengers. To watch this orderly process under magnification is nearly enough to side with the wide eyed and ignorant, ie, with the antievolutionists. More digression. In recent years, it's been found that certain primitive (pluripotential) cell lines, help out here, at least by providing cellular raw material. At first thought only to remain, for harvesting, in supporting tissues, such as the placenta, these are now found in various places, even in adults. But these early beliefs did provide a big money making incentive for the supporters of clinical fetus murder, allowing these criminals at Planned Parenthood to cash in. "Dr. Goodman, just toss the baby into this trash bin, but save the placenta on ice". Subsequent lab bench science saw the importance in the capacity for these stem cells to develop, with help, into many tissues, and even parts of functioning organs. Therapeutic applications have been few, such as restoring Dopamine secreting cells to parts of the brain (substantia nigra, etc.), in short supply in patients with Parkinsonian syndromes. And a few other applications, all based on lots of solid science, and careful clinical trials. Repeat the last phrases several times. Enter the business scammers. Cash only clinics are now springing up in shady tolerant countries, to attempt to use this idea of Stem cells in "regenerative therapies, for, among other afflictions, joint disorders, Multiple sclerosis and even Autism, with scant supporting evidence. And no shortage of devastating side effects. What do these crooks understand? For starters, little science. But lots about human nature. As with all scammers, the ability to read near panic in the faces of their marks. Not unlike the fake, VERY fake, profiles of Hottie tarts right cheer on our own beloved CS. Pain, especially for loved ones, has a way of opening the wallets and purses. As with Gypsy Travelers, who see you could soon use a new roof, and vastly undercut true craftsMEN, only never to return after taking your down payment. Stretching knowledge (scientific, or otherwise), gauging panicky need, and hiting victims with the age old line, "do we ever have SUCH a deal for you?" Sociopathy--- in business.

Another hidden upside of C-19, is reconsideration of financial realities. And evolution. Jobs, employment, the stock markets, deficits, taxation, and even the threat to the usually secure money market funds. Many firms are failing, and some governments, with the best of liberal intentions, are throwing good money after bad. In these legal processes, after lower level creditors are sent packing, the higher ones (read bankers), inherit the mess, and often assign a management team to "reorganize", which is the root of another name for the work. What may then emerge is a leaner and meaner company, often much more successful than the failed one ever could become. But the losers often just piss the government money away, sooner or later to fail anyway. Marx and Engels would be rolling in their graves. But not Adam Smith. Socialism/communism---great plans, until other people's money runs out.

Business it tough enough, lets add material shortages/backorders to the list.
I used to sell cabinets from one manufacturer that had delivery 4 to 5 weeks.

Due to COVID-19 the factory was closed and their schedule went to 12 weeks.
Some of my orders were switched to another manufacturer with similar product at a 6 week schedule. I'll get around that problem.

Tile we used to get from a local distributor no longer has inventory. Now, it comes from a warehouse a few hundred miles away. Add 2-3 days to get things we used to pick up the same day as ordered.

One of my clients is in Florida 5 days a month and I coordinated all the work to be done while they are away. We started the bathroom renovation, but the tub and faucet aren't available for 3 weeks so we will halt the work, clean the area and continue when they leave.

Quartz slabs for a countertop were ordered 4 weeks in advance and the ship date fit into our schedule. Now, it's backordered another 3 weeks and the completion schedule must be revised.

At this point, we must notify clients of changes due to factors beyond our control and get orders in as quickly as possible.

My brother had an all-important video conference scheduled. A week before the event, his webcam stopped and nobody (local or online) had stock to ship a replacement. I pulled one from my system and sent it overnight.

It's a dog-eat-dog world and not like hoarding toilet paper, a word to the wise, when shopping, if you see something on the shelf that you'll need in the future, but you think you can get it later... don't. Get it now. It may not be in stock when the time comes that you actually need it.

I wore construction boots when I was a project manager, as a good part of my day was on jobsites. It's a requirement by OSHA to wear thick sole, steel toe shoes when in a construction environment.
Job change and the boots were put aside.
Yesterday, I had an appointment to measure a new project that is in the 'framing stage' where all the partitions are going up, prior to electrical and plumbing. Lots of sheet metal, pipes, air conditioning grills on the floor as tradesmen went about their business.

This is the right time to spot errors in layout and make corrections to the shop drawings that the factory builds from. We need all the time to fabricate so the product is ready when the contractor is requesting delivery.

The screws used to hold the metal studs have sharp points needed to pierce sheet metal and the framing crew don't pick up any that fall to the floor. I was on the job for a few hours and had to pull screws from the bottom of my boots a few times.

That was the easy part as I had the boots on for 5 hours and couldn't wait to get home to remove them. They were killing my feet yesterday afternoon and I felt pain this morning when I got up!
I'm back in soft shoes today and getting into my normal routine... maybe with some aspirin for breakfast.
