A hypothetical game where food hygiene laws do not exist:

You own a business supplying meals that can be kept at room temperature for quite a lengthy period of time. Orders are sent by standard postal service, running from Monday morning to Saturday midday.

The meals arrive from the factory to your business early on a Wednesday morning, but you don't know which day the meals are made - they just come in fresh on a weekly basis. Your website advises your customers that orders will be dispatched on Wednesdays and Thursdays to ensure maximum freshness on arrival.

Sometimes you have meals left over at the end of the week, but they don't have a 'sell by', or 'use by' date. The meals can be stored for a good few days, sometimes weeks depending upon the meal.

One day, a customer emails to say that their order wasn't dispatched until Friday and didn't arrive until Monday, the packer put heavy meals on top of squashable meals and everything was so rotten the meals can't possibly have been fresh when they were sent on Friday.

There is no physical proof that the customer is telling the truth, or has good judgement when it comes to freshness. You have to take the complaint on face value and the customer has to take the company's claims of freshness on face value. You do know from your own records, however, that this order wasn't dispatched until Friday.

How would you, as the business owner, respond to the complaint?

Phantom of the Opera Tribute

I just read that Broadway is closing the Phantom of the Opera after 35 years. I saw it performed in San Francisco with a group of friends. So sad it’s going to be shut down. They are shutting it down due to ticket sales dropping due to Covid. This is a clip from the 2004 Hollywood musical. The only movie I love Gerard Butler in. I would take that singing voice over that face any day. More like I would accept his disfigurement because of his singing voice. He is a complete Don Giovanni.

This is my favorite scene from the movie. Aw man I can watch this again and again. At times I feel like the Phantom. Ugly and that nobody wants me. I didn’t say that it’s true. Just how I feel at times. I think that’s perhaps why I love and cherish this musical so much. And I love how the opera house just watches him perform in complete awe. He’s fantastic.

RIP Phantom. You shall be missed.

Tuesday's Gone...

You can call off the dogs as the Twitter King's prediction that he would be indicted today didn't work out. Hopefully none of you took the midnight train to Manhattan to protest today.

The DA's office made this statement: "We will not be intimidated by attempts to undermine the justice process, nor will we let baseless accusations deter us from fairly applying the law."

Better luck next week...

(Songwriters: Allen Collins / Ron Van Zant of Lynyrd Skynyrd)
And I don't know
Oh, where I'm going
I just want to be left alone
Well, when this train ends
I'll try again, oh but I'm
I'm leaving my woman at home, Lordy
Tuesday's gone, with the wind
Tuesday's gone, with the wind...

inspired by marry me blog

Huge changes are coming, this is the new normal.

Its apparently going to be lawful for a woman to betrothe a man for every month up to 10 men/10 months.

Two months off are mandatory for rest and recuperation.

They are writing these new laws as we speak and are using the old 'time-share' agreement as a guide/contract.

Men will enjoy the same benefits after establishing fitness levels.

All above is going to be Government sponsored with heaps of other benefits yet to be established.

Loneliness is soon to be a thing of the past

Florida Bloggers may have to register to write about Ron DeSantis... or face fines.

Florida state Sen. Jason Brodeur wants bloggers who write about Gov. Ron DeSantis, to register with the state or face fines. "The republican’s proposal, Senate Bill 1316: Information Dissemination, would require any blogger writing about government officials to register with the Florida Office of Legislative Services or the Commission on Ethics."

Should that bill pass, I might have to register my mouth with the State.
