Now that I'm back to being a homeowner I find myself having to go to Lowes (home improvement store) quite a bit. Beings I HATE shopping I try to get it out of the way first thing in the morning. Today I was buying poison. I'm not fond of poison but according to my neighbors there is stinkvine growing in my yard and it is pretty out of control. It is coming from my neighbors yard so I'm going to poison her yard as well as the part of my yard it is dominating. I never heard of stinkvine before and because my house was vacant the last couple of years, that dang weed flourished.

I'm taking the word of a professional on how to kill it and it is going to take poison for the amount I'm dealing with. So I bought the sprayer and the chemical, tomorrow with a clear head I will proceed with poisoning this vine. I have a knot in my stomach about it but I don't know what else to do so I'm just going forward.

The tiny dog won't be allowed on that side of the yard for a long time. Oh by the way a damn owl tried to get her this morning when we were walking. I had to scoop her up and carry her home. It happened in an area that is closest to the woods which one neighbor warned me to be careful for the snakes and another said there are wolves. I'm a native Floridian and I've never seen wolves down here, foxes rarely but never a wolf. No one warned me about the owl but I figured it out.

I go for my walk and always wonder as I look at stuff like the little creek I walk along side, what would Imp see? I look and look and I see nothing I want to take a picture of. It makes me look so forward to the pictures she or the Rogue posts because they see so much of what I don't see.

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Showing himself to be a compassionate man of the people who cares deeply about the plight of the downtrodden, Senator Bernie Sanders selflessly offered a stack of bills to a homeless man on the street Monday after fishing the money out of a purse sitting next to a woman on a park bench.



Sanders had been crouched in shrubbery that lined the street, on the prowl for people who looked like they had too much money when he leaped out to steal the wallet from the purse of the woman. “He was surprisingly sneaky for a 76-year-old guy,” said one onlooker.

The Vermont senator was reportedly thinking of saving the money for himself.

But just then, he saw a homeless man sitting nearby, begging for money. Moved by the pathetic sight of the man’s disheveled appearance, Sanders found it in his heart to commit a random act of kindness, digging through the wallet until he was able to find several $20 bills and slipping them into the man’s hand.

“It’s not theft—it’s redistribution,” he told reporters later. “I was simply benefiting one citizen at the expense of another—doing what any old citizen couldn’t do without committing a crime. But it’s different because I’m the government, see?”

At publishing time, the Senator was seen pocketing the rest of the money.

This weekend I'm a vendor at the local music and arts festival up at the lake resort, about a 15 minute drive from me. I've never attended before, thinking my natural health products wouldn't be much of a fit.

How wrong I was! Of course it's a fit, as the hot springs are up there and it's a huge tourist draw. So last weekend was a smashing success and I was more than pleased at the end of the weekend.

The festival continues this weekend, but for three days, starting yesterday. Yesterday was quite slow, as it was really hot and windy with very few customers. Considering how slow it was, I'm still really pleased with my sales for the day.

The venue is absolutely gorgeous, as all the vendor tents are pitched on the grass along the promenade with our backs to the lake. So all one has to do is turn around to enjoy an incredible view of the lake and mountains.

Last week, I'd kicked myself for not taking my camera - and didn't make that same mistake this weekend. When I arrived yesterday, a brightly coloured parasail was floating high above the lake, the glacier peaks of a distant mountain a stark contrast to the intense hues of the parasail.



Fortunately, I had gotten there early and had plenty of time to take photos before setting up. Although it was a perfect day for it, that was the only parasail that was on the lake yesterday, and I'm hoping today will bring more out before the market starts.

I feel comfortable enough on this CS site to blog and find most people enjoyable and interesting although I still feel like a noob with much to discover.

I'm trying to get used to responding to posts on a blog if I write one but half the time I forget or can't find my blog.

What I dislike is when reading blogs, many go to page 2 and I have to scroll down the page to hit the 2 to turn the page. When I open a multi paged blog I wish the option to go straight to another page would be at the top of the blog. Maybe it is and I can't find it.

Man I just realized how lazy I am....I'm griping about having to scroll down a page like that is hard work or something. Even the little dog rolled her eyes at me.

There use to be a time on CS blogs that when you had a post on here and then you put another one on your previous blog would disappear on the feed but would go to your personal blog list.

That was the good days I think, just my opinion.
