The Race Would Be To Settle Which Horse Would Be Determined The Greatest Between The Two
The Other Horse Was A Colt...(A Male)
He Had Just Came Off From Winning The Kentucky Derby
And His Name Was...... "Foolish Pleasure"...He Was Unbeaten In All Of 1975
It Would Be The... "Philly"... Against The.... "Colt"....A Two Horse Race

Then?.....Race Day Came...And Two Horses...The Man Against The Lady.....Got Into The Starting Gate
The Bell Sounded..............And...They Were Off!!!!
Right Away...And Without Hesitation... Ruffian Went To The Lead...And Held The Lead Halfway Through The Race

It Was Around The Halfway Mark ...That A Pigeon Flew Up In Front Of Ruffian...Startling Her
And In That Moment...Our Lady... "Ruffian" ...Broke Down.....For...At That Point?....She Was Limping...Badly
Immediately... The Jockey Jumped Off Of Ruffian To Try And Calm Her
Rescue Arrived On The Scene...And Immediately......They Put A Balloon Cast On Her Leg
The Horse Van Came...And They Took Ruffian Away.....She Was Anesthetized Afterwards... And Operated On

It Was At That Moment ...Of When Ruffian Came Out Of... "Being Under?"...That She Freaked Out...Badly
And....While Still Laying There?...Started To Try To Run...(It Was In Her Blood..It Was All Ruffian Ever Knew)

Those In Attendance?...Tried Their Very Best To Console Ruffian.....But Were Unable To Get Anywhere With Her.......Nobody...Not Even Those Closet To Her.....Could Not Control Ruffian...
As She Got Up?...She Began Throwing Everyone Around...Some Were Thrown Against The Walls
And In This Process?..Ruffian Broke The Top Part Of Her Leg
And At That Point?...It Was Clear To Everyone...That It Was....... "All Over"
There Was No Choice In The Matter..They Had To Put Ruffian Down

From What I Saw In That Race...Live On Television..Way Back In 1975?
I Saw A Horse Named "Ruffian" That... Without A Doubt?...Would Have Taken And Won That Race....Probably With Ease..(She Was That Great.... And She Was... That Good)

The Girl I Was With That Day?..(A Horse Lover For Sure)....Cried ....Like There Was No Tomorrow

Last Friday....Of..This Year..............A Tractor Trailer Driver........Traveling East Bound On Route 400 ..............Just West Of Parsons Kansas........(Route 400 Is A Rural Two Lane Road).........One Side Going One Way.......And The Other Side Going The Other Way

Coming From The Opposite Way Was Another Tractor Trailer
It Seems That The Pick Up Truck In Back Of The Tractor Trailer Heading West....Decided He Had Enough Of The Truck In Front Of Him.............And Made An Attempt To Pass The Truck
The Pick Up Truck Ran Out Of Luck........ Because He Didnt Make It............. And Crashed Head On Into The Tractor Trailer.......Coming The Other Way

(Realize This............ That The Truck The Pickup Crashed Into?....There Wasnt Nothing The Tractor Trailer Driver Could Do...Or Couldve Done To Prevent It
One Cannot Stop A Tractor Traller..... Like One Can Stop A Car
The Pickup Driver?............ Was Killed Instantly..........But The Sad Part?......."Is"

As The Driver of The Tractor Trailer He Crashed Into?...(Harry Pierce...52.....) Rushed To Get Out......(HisTruck Was Smoking Up Really Bad)
He Was Trying To Get His Dog "Blue" Out Of The Truck.........And He Succeeded In Doing This
But...As Soon As He Got His Dog Out?.........His Truck Blew Up...Killing Him
And Injuring His Dog...Who Did Survive

Because Of One Idiot?.........2 People Lose Their Lives

A While Back....................They Found The Wreck Of The Edmund Fitzgerald.....It Was Found........... Lying At The Bottom Of Lake Superior...And was Slit In Two Pieces...........Whats Bothering About This Findings Is That At One Of The Sites?
There Is The Body Of One Of The Crew Lying Outside Of The Wreck Face Down On The Lakes Floor
If Not For This?...I Would Understand The Fact That They Would Leave The Ship

I Havnt Been Able To Find Out Exactly What Happened.............But He Ended Up Having A Verbal Argument With His Mother...(He Was Probably Heavily Intoxicated)........They Didnt Live Far At All From "Slater Park"............ Here In Pawtucket Rhode Island
Maybe A Block Or 2 At The Most

The Verbal Argument Ended In Slater Park That Night..(A Few Nights Ago)
Unfortunately...He Had One Of His Guns With Him..............And Right In Front Of His Mother
He Yelled Real Loud?................"Is This What You Want?!!!"
And Shot Himself Right Through The Heart

I Knew Eric Very Well As Id See Him Everyday................ "At The Water Fall"
But I Wont Be Seeing Him There Anymore

Guns Are Essential For Ones Protection In The House..
