When I say responded, I really mean that I was contacted about being an extra in a new drama series here in Denmark.

It's a 10 episode prime time drama series, and I am going to be in three scenes. One where I am a passer by on a street, one where I am business like, and one where I am a homeless person.

It's gonna be extremely exciting, and I cannot wait to explore this new acting world. Granted, an extra isn't the same as being an actor, but it's a step inside. I have no lines, though, so it's purely a background role. But it's gonna be exciting none the less!

I am paid a gift certificate worth $30, but it's not the pay that makes me want to do it.

Who knows, maybe this job as an extra will result in more roles as an extra. I know some people make a living off it, so we'll see!

Hundreds of years before man learned to build and fly aircraft, woodwind musical instruments were created using long tubes with finger holes to change the pitch. Some of these instruments like flutes and whistles had a chamber called a fipple that created the sound. Other woodwind instruments had a vibrating reed usually made from cane (or bamboo) that created the sound.
Long tubes with a single reed that were tuned to the lowest note on the chanter were designed to accompany the instrument creating a wide range of sound. Those tubes are called drones.
My choice of woodwind instrument is the Irish Bagpipe or Uilleann Pipes. It's much quieter than the Scottish Pipes and has a larger pitch range and used in pub settings. They are NOT carried on the piper's shoulder while walking in a parade!

However, the concept of 3 single note buzzing drones tuned in octaves of each other (tenor, baritone, bass) is the same.
