Again an again

I quiver, the day is here an no time is left.
when heavens will fall, when life is bereft
in despair I craze, must I part with my bliss ?
wounded my heart; aches for the slaking kiss

woe to me; o why did I love my only friend.
twinge lurks in every shadow; times to an end.
My misery unheard; why should it so descend,
its farewell then? that's fate? Can’t we pretend?

I'll befuddle, stare the roof in an empty bed.
punishing my ears; straining for your tread,
yearn for your gleaming eyes, to hold your hand
lingering memories, empty fists an shifting sand

O’ I breathe your smile, softly call your name,
days an nights merge to mingle with your frame
my life forever changed never to be the same
I wish you knew dear, that this isn’t just a game

lucky I am to have felt this intense emotion.
to remain my obsession, my life’s only notion,
I writhe and consume what we could be together.
Wafting of a breeze the feel of a silky feather

Times flown; my hair graying my soul is fraying
you across oceans, I impaled, alone, slaying
Solace In memories or pretense in praying
Gaping, aping, numbed an silent yet saying

You smile to me through the world of flowers
Shine an gleam at me in the vastness of stars
you brighten each year with the colors of spring
lend your sweet incense to each an every thing

I’ve felt you in blistering deserts in gales an pouring rain
As events drag my body and make me go insane
Forever I relive goodbyes an feel the wrenching pain,
If I had the gift of lives, I would love you again an again!

Because She Would Ask Me Why I Loved Her

If questioning would make us wise
No eyes would ever gaze in eyes;
If all our tale were told in speech
No mouths would wander each to each.

Were spirits free from mortal mesh
And love not bound in hearts of flesh
No aching breasts would yearn to meet
And find their ecstasy complete.

For who is there that lives and knows
The secret powers by which he grows?
Were knowledge all, what were our need
To thrill and faint and sweetly bleed?.

Then seek not, sweet, the "If" and "Why"
I love you now until I die.
For I must love because I live
And life in me is what you give.

THE ANCESTRY QUEST

THE ANCESTRY TREE QUEST

Here I sit gaze upon screen lists of names oh what does it mean
Files upon files a conumdrem of past where answers lay within and my roots are cast.
Generations of family from decades bygone I need a spark for my search to go on.
Trawling the libraries looking at books grained old photos every avenue every nook
For evidence of fact a familiar place as a sleuth like detective follows up a trace.
And then the break it makes my day long lost relations that had not erred astray
Eager to solve those mysteries in mind nervous to discover but excited to find
My tree of forefathers from way back when lost uncles perhaps boding from then.
Certificated proof my inklings first thought through journeys of history painstakingly sought.
Hours upon hours worthwhile I now muse knitting and weaving those family line clues
Eyebrows raised little surprises in store unearthing the secrets and keys to the door
Of the ancestry tree I'm driven to succeed spellbound hooked intoxicatingly intrigued.
From a small idea to a maiden name quest I'll leave no stone unturned till I've unearthed all the rest .

an ode i did through the eyes of a family member cheers

A Little Thing Called Love

Love is a many splendored thing, they say,
And I believe it when you looked my way,
Out of the blue, things seemed to happen
By chance or destiny, is the question.

Living my life so long, without knowing your existence,
Then came a day we felt each others presence,
Guess what's meant to be will always find a way,
Love creeps into hearts and decides to stay.

A love so exquisite, yet so intricate,
In a world of only "you and I"
A love we can't even demonstrate,
A secret we have to keep for life.

I love you, honey, and its from my heart,
I hope you know that youre no beggar from the start,
You make me fly without wings,
You make my heart wants to sing.

Every moment I spent with you,
Is every one of my dreams coming true,
More than words, I want to show you how I feel,
Someday, some place, sometime, I will.

Love is a journey for two,
Step by step, me and you,
The future we can't see,
Let love lead the way for you and me.

I never liked money,I simply like what I am able to do with it.
A young couple won 15millions euros in euromillion, but they lost the most important thing. They lost friendship, tranquility and love. Now they are fighting in court.
I guarantee you that with such quantity of money I will just want to live a life without any kind of worries and I will make an easier life for lot of people.

Karma, paybacks and the secret to happiness

Six years ago, I used to teach and do research at a major university here in New Jersey. I did that for a number of years and was vested there. Thus, I took a VERY early retirement and switched careers. I have a pension from the university, but am way too young to collect on it yet.

Anyway, while I was there I had a nice size lab and a couple of graduate (Ph.D.) students and usually one or two undergraduate students. Because my research was microbiology based, usually, the undergraduate students were biology majors.

However, while I was there I had one forestry major undergraduate. He was a gentle Ben, a huge guy. He stood about 6'7", full beard and usually wore jeans, boots and a flannel shirt. He kind of stood out in a microbiology building. The women who worked there were afraid of him. This was not only because of his imposing stature and his less than preppy attire. It was also because he cursed a lot. However, he always did a good job and was very respectful to me. Nonetheless, I often had to defend his presence there to the director of the department. This was heightened when he lost his dorm room. He had nowhere to stay.

Without actually suggesting, nor stating, that he could live in the microbiology building until the semester ended, I gave him a wink wink tour of the more secluded areas of the building. These were sort of secret places that I discovered, as places to get away from students and peacefully prepare grants, research papers, grade tests, etc.. I also let him see that there was a shower in the basement. Thus, unofficially, he moved into the building. This went OK for a couple of months until one of the secretaries stumbled upon him sleeping in a seldom used storage room one morning. This resulted in another meeting for me with the director of the department. Bottom line was, Ben had to move out with only one month left in the semester.

So, I knew from previous discussions that he didn't have much money and no family to depend upon. Thus, I "loaned' him the money to get an apartment, which he did. It got him through the semester and he graduated. That was 6 years ago. I have never heard from him since and had no idea what happened to Ben. I've moved 4 times in the past 6 years and no longer am affiliated with the university.

Yet, I just now got a phone call from Ben. Apparently, he was able to "finally" track me down using an online address site. He tried Google and that didn't work. After sharing some laughs about old times, he asked me if I remembered, that I loaned him some money. I said that I remember helping him get an apartment, but it was my pleasure to help him in a tough spot and that he didn't owe me anything. He said he was now in the military and doing fine and that he wants to mail me a check. I asked if he was sure he didn't need the money and he said that he doesn't and wants to do this. I said OK and gave him my address.

Karma and altruism are ironic. We often reap what we sow. Frequently, I accidently run into people I've worked with, played ball with, went to school with or met in other cicumstances.
A lot of times they remind me of things that I've done in the past that either caused them to laugh, inspired them, helped them, or just made them feel good. Ironicly, I guess its sort of selfish, because in reality it makes me feel good. While I am not religious at all, I do believe that we should leave this earth better than we found it and how we interact with our fellow earthlings is part of that legacy.
