RE: Diana Gabaldon: Outlander

The first Book was okay, quite liked it; the second was a waste of paper, money, and time, which proves that writing sequels upon sequels is, in most cases, a HUGE mistake (see: "Andrews, Virginia C." LOL).

Haven't watched the series, as I don't like most of recently-made TV stuff (most of which is just gruesome violence, which I cannot bare to watch).

So…
Always double check whenever you put Like on something.
CS can be a dating site but also a site for people who have different interests to make friendships, exchanging the different cultures, hobbies, things…

Sorry, all the book lovers!
I wrote these lines as there are some jokers, or scammers…who want to put Like on your favourite books, that you want to share here.
So… book reading is not for jealousy or cheating…
Yes, it is for the good and good feelings, only!

And..
Books reading is a hobby for everyone, despite the facts where he or she comes from.

Plus, famous writers are from everywhere and their books officially published and translated in variously different languages. And that we should never forget and thanks to those prominent translators, who have done all the well-done jobs, as well.
So, we can read those books in our mother tounge and in foreign languages; all depend on our language skills. As long as you understand what’s inside the books and really enjoy the reading.

To give a Like in something is always easy but to learn and understand the meaning and beauty inside itself which is required a lot of works, time, interest, passion…etc…
So all the rest LIKE is heartless and meaningless.

RE: Jon Krakauer: Into The Wild

I haven’t read this book yet but well, have seen the movie few times. The character burned all the rest of his money then, left the city in order to discover the wild nature; dramatically, in the end, he died due to eating wrong, poisonous things which he found on the way, because of the hunger!!
The music in the movie, from a member of Pearls Jam is very touchy, meaningful and beautiful, as well.

RE: walter rodney: How Europe Underdeveloped Africa

Also consider how Islam kept Africa underdeveloped and still keeps Africans as slaves for the past 1400 years and that is a fact

How the Leaders of these various African countries kept their countries underdeveloped by their stupid decisions and policies

This book is very interesting. This book is about a young girl who was a slave in a Cambodian communist labor camp. It explains her life in the labor camp as well as her life afterwards. I found this book to be very inspirational. Everybody of all ages should read this book.

RE: Robert Louis Stevenson: Treasure Island

He was a very unusual man and dies on Samoa I think. He was Scottish but due to ill health lived in several places like Europe, California and the South Seas.
Few know he had a deep philosophical side and wrote some mysterious tales just called Fables. One was called Song of the Morrow and was a favourite of PD Ouspensky and is quite mystical.
Cheers, R.

RE: E L James: Fifty shades of grey

I only read this 1st book from this series. I didn't care for the story at all. For those that are familiar with the Twilight series, this book was actually written as fan fiction for the characters in the Twilight series. E.L. James just changed it up and renamed characters. If this book got you into the lifestyle then I suggest you find other books such as Screw the Roses, Send Me the Thorns.

RE: God: The Holy Bible

My new years resolution was to put Him first in my life. The dead sea scrolls had copies of Isaiah and verified the message of the old testament, it is a know fact. I guess that people don't accept him and reject him at times. A lot of people have gone into the occult and that is perhaps the part of man's sin. Covid 19 is a judgement on man . In Matthew 24, Jesus talks about the future will have epidemics.

RE: God: The Holy Bible

The Holy Bible?
Well i have huge doubts about what's written in the Bible, since in the current Bible haven't been added the Dead Sea scroll's,not to mention the translation since Ancient Latin today isn't spoken anywhere in the world.

RE: Ayn Rand: Atlas Shrugged

Ayn Rand was a Russian-Jewish immigrant. As such, she came from a different social upbringing that, as occurs with any child that grows into adulthood, conveyed unto her thinking processes a certain style and attitude while being in life. Life in Russia during her early years was a bit harsh, to say the least. Ms. Rand was 12 when the Russian Revolution erupted, 26 when she immigrated to the U.S. At least read the Wikipedia article on her to get a beginning feel of who she was, which might begin to shed some light on her writing style. Let the truth be known! Check out her book entitled, "Capitalism: The Unknown Ideal."

RE: Rhonda Byrne: The Secret

Although it's not for everyone, this book helps the reader remember that a little positivity goes a long way. It changes some lives, it doesn't affect some but unless you are willing to open up and believe in possibilities, this book will do nothing for you. Don't try and ruin the experience for others who may benefit with a little altered thinking.
