My question then is why even bother answering if you can't talk. Why would somebody too busy even be on. If we were that busy wouldn't we wait and come on to CS later? I don't get this.

She was possibly too busy in a chat room or forums, or on IM with someone else? Just thinking of possible explanations as to why she was on here, but too busy to IM with you.

You answer because it fills your whole screen AND if you don't answer, and just pop it off, they come back within a few minutes. Maybe she just uses her im for the people that she feels more comfortable with. Why don't you just email her and introduce yourself. Then see what happens. Good luck to you

Could it have been that she was already talking to someone on IM at the moment.
I wouldn't take it to personal myself, maybe she had other things going on at the time. At least she didn't refuse to talk to you by not answering at all.

Because, and I do this myself often......
You can open more than one window at a time, my friend. From my point of view, I have work I need to do and yet I log onto CS at the same time. I work in one window and check in at times to CS in another window. I flit between the two.... when I am able, of course. It may often appear that I am constantly on CS for a long period of time and yet I am doing other things also.....
Its only one explanation of course.....

Even though I leave a CS screen open (which shows I am online in CS) it does not always indicate that I am in CS. I could be in the bedroom making whoopie and you would not know it. So yes she could have been busy and just happened to have left her CS screen open, was walking by and noticed your IM. Happens to me all the time, and I also politely tell the gentleman that I am busy.
