I dont like any of it too much but the odd thing is that now theres just me here it all seems like so much more of an effort - when the children were around, housework was just an automatic kind of thing but now, I seem to spend more time thinking about it than actually getting on with it
dolphin1: Got to be the ironing I hate it with a passion
I hate it so much that I don't even know where my iron is right now! I haven't used it in years. I pull the clothes and bedding straight out from the dryer and fold them to avoid doing ironing.
My mother is an ironing freak, and she made me hate it just because I watched her stand there for hours doing it every week, then listened to her complain when things got wrinkled...or spilled on the cloth tablecloths (there were 3 children in that house...spills happen, and I always thought that was the purpose of the tablecloth).
