Phoenix: Where do you reckon I'd fit in...

Musical (primary)
This area has to do with rhythm, music, and hearing. Those who have a high level of musical-rhythmic intelligence display greater sensitivity to sounds, rhythms, tones, and music. They are able to sing, play musical instruments, and compose music. Since there is a strong auditory component to this intelligence, those who are strongest in it may learn best via lecture. I don't think the learning by lecture would apply to you though...In addition, they will often use songs or rhythms to learn and memorize information, and may work best with music playing in the background.

Equal bits of: Logical-mathematical
This area has to do with logic, abstractions, reasoning, and numbers. It correlates strongly with traditional concepts of "intelligence" or IQ. Many scientists, mathematicians, engineers, doctors and economists function in this type of intelligence. I bet you are really good at math...but not sure if that came out when you were a kid at school..

Sort of colouring everything: Intrapersonal (I think that you think you are an extrovert, but you are really an introvert)
This area has to do with introspective and self-reflective capacities. Those who are strongest in this intelligence are typically introverts and prefer to work alone. They are usually highly self-aware and capable of understanding their own emotions, goals and motivations. They often have an affinity for thought-based pursuits such as philosophy. They learn best when allowed to concentrate on the subject by themselves. There is often a high level of perfectionism associated with this intelligence.

Some: Visual-spatial
This area has to do with vision and spatial judgment. People with strong visual-spatial intelligence are typically very good at visualizing and mentally manipulating objects. Those with strong spatial intelligence are often proficient at solving puzzles. They have a strong visual memory and are often artistically inclined.

Maybe totally off, but I dunno...my gut feel.....

Hello Goddess.

Here are two different tests that you can take if you wish. I have used the first one, but have not tried the second. I remember when I was at University to get my teaching degree there was this fantastic test. I have a hard copy of it, but cannot find it online. Enjoy.

I keep reading this Imma intending to respond, but I needed to think about it.

As for many people, I suppose I am a healthy mix, with the exception of the logical-mathematical and visual-spatial categories.

Like you, I use body language a lot when I´m teaching. I try not to use Spanish at all in class, so with the lower level English students it´s necessary to act out new vocabulary or grammatical structures. I always throw my arms back to indicate the use of past simple tense for example. Sometimes I´m absolutely exhausted after a beginner class!

Musical is also a very strong category for me I believe.

Does this not apply to men, mainly, given that men do have better spacial reasoning skills than women?

What a fabulous thread, so interesting, I am going to take the test, you posted the link to, for Goddess.

I found the second test more interesting:

No surprises really, but some helpful suggestions on analysis.......... naturally, I am a Logic/Math orientated person who likes to get physical when not indulging in linguistical contortions! wine

I took the test. I'm about equally naturalistic, intrapersonal and linguistic. Not surprising. Actually, when I take any kind of test like this or personality test, the results are always pretty much what I'd expect.

I rarely do take tests like this mainly because they always tell me the obvious.
