Well,I live in the USA and thanks for your post.I hope he does a good job too. It's going to take alot to get this country back on track,I don't see it happening over night,but hopefully when I am dead,my kids wont have it so bad!

My opinion of Americans has changed since the election of Obama. The USA is not the centre of the universe. The voices of the United States of America has chosen to be part of this global village. Welllll for me the politicians don't impact on how I feel about the people....I call em as I see em as individuals not by country...there are awesome people and idiots all over the world...the country has nothing to do with it...OR their politicians.....That being said...Obama is probably the first politician that I have actually had any respect for....

Yes - it's an almost universal feeling (not sure about Russia and China and North Korea and........ never mind) but certainly a phenomena in western Europe.
The USA and Europe should be genuine partners - we have drifted ideologically apart for too long and maybe 'we' need a little more US style 'get up and go' and the USA needs to learn a little more compassion (as in universal free health care and such 'socialist' stuff) from us!
