jlw45: i generally don't bother with links either...the link i found was to make a point...the stats don't have to be exact...but, the point is, if the law abiding citizens turn in there guns, they will be unarmed against the unlawful....which is a mute point anyway...our second amendment rights ,in the states, is'nt for protection against thugs....it's for protection against government

For one... if you have a medical disorder like Bipolar disorder, you can not get a permit. That is a law. So if you have a permit, you lied and are a criminal. Being that you are a criminal justifies me owning a gun to protect myself from you.

no...but i'de be worse at foregiving myself...because if we were having bar-b-ques and what not...i should have seen something wrong along time before you dropped off the deep end and i did'nt do anything about it before hand...there are laws in place that address such matters...as wiether or not someone has an unstable background...or if someone is a felon...the problems are'nt a matter of needing more laws...the problems are, in part, inforcing the laws that are already present...Im your next door neighbour for the past 20 years and I have Bi polar for instance..
