Are you sure it's a stye? I thought I had a stye but it wouldn't clear after 2 days so went to the optometrist and found it was a blocked tear duct. Hot compresses 4 times a day cleared it up in a day.

Sorry - warm compresses - and probably best to throw away any eyeliners, mascara's and eye makeup products, they have been contaminated.
There is a wonderful antibiotic eye drop, however, it is prescription.
A pharmacy could probably recommend an over the counter drop.

Well i thought it was a stye and I spoke to the pharmacist at the drug store yesterday...he told me to put Polysporin drops in my eye...which i did...(my mother had told me to warm my wedding band and put it on the lid...as if i could find that little keepsake now...

Grandma always sasid ya got styes from peeing in the road, LOL! She claimed the only way to get rid of it was to pee on an old tree stump then rub it on the stye, course, grandma wasnt wrapped real tight.

thanks guys...just came back from the doctor's...needed a prescription antibiotic drops...and a warm compress (tea bag sounds good to me!!)

Stye huh? I ised to get lots of those as a kid. Good old fashioned time will get rid of it..My Gma also told me you get them from peeing on the side of the road, and she was wrapped tight...Hummm?

oh my gawd i hate styes too i get them now and then i will never forget the first one i had when my son was little and he was curious he squized it and it went away i have no idea how to cure it though

You only have 2 eyes with no chance of transplants. My advice is to see an optometrist/opthamologist and whatever you do don't put anything in your eye smaller than your elbow.

I have one on my eye..and i've never had one before..it's killing me..i look like Quasimodo this morning...anyone know how to get rid of them? Any home cures????
