MUSLIMS IN EUROPE (100)

smoky: Okay, back to reality. I get side-tracked keeping up with my fan club - apologies to everyone.

Back in CH - we got lots of Muslims, very happy Muslim people, from all different countries - they are Asylum Seekers. I go to language school with a couple of them, and we have very interesting exchanges of info.

Seems the Swissies take very good care of these gentle folk ...... gives them jobs, gives them cheap clean affordable accomodation, pays their doctor bills, their dentist bills, even their optical requirements.... and pays for them to attend language school to help them integrate into the society.

The only problem that I can see, is that these same gentle folk dont realy integrate. They all live in clans. They want the society that took them in, to do the change.

Now ... we got Protestant Churches that have big clocks to help the citizens set their watches, tell the time, and they are silent clocks, they just sit there on their spires.
We got Catholic Churches that disturb the peace with the loud clanging of their bells at all sorts of hours.
Now ...... we face having the Mezzunin or whatever they called to further disturb the peace with the 5 times a day calling to prayers...... All this in a country that bans lawnmowing, coughing, and any form of noise on Sundays.

Which brings us to the confusing times of the week, when the Muslim Sunday is Friday, and the Christian Sunday is Sunday.

Further ... their children they want excused from the compulsory swimming lessons in the luxury indoor heated school pools during winter when swimming classes are held (cause the Swissies dont want any drownings in the Rheine or the Lakes) cause their girls are not allowed to wear bathing costumes.

And they want their sons to wear their puberty beards to school - when all the boys in CH have to shave until they finally leave school and take up a trade. They can all wear any clothes and jewellery and tatoos they like .... but not beards.

And they want Islam taught in the schools - who are already facing difficulties with the Protestant and Catholic and Darwin theories....... All very difficult for a little country that is only trying its best to take care of its few genuine Swiss people.

Now, I ask, if you had to leave your own country and culture ... would you go to a country that you hate the policies of? and their education and religious policies? And way of life? And dress code?

Well, if you got all the luxuries on offer given to you, free and gratis ... and knew they not going to put you before a firing squad if you drop a tin can in the street .....?
That's about the Gist of it!uh oh

It is oh so simple and some people want to make things difficult. When I came to Belgium I abide by one rule and only one rule. "When in Rome do as the Romans do".
I am not saying that you have to eat French Fries every day or love Belgian waffels or eat their pralines. But respect the fact that it is their country and it is you that has to make the changes. I learned the language (well) and I will admit the rest was easy because I came from a western country that has the same or near enough same customs as the Belgians. You do in your own home what you want to do no problem. But when you leave your home it is your duty to try to be accepted by the country that took you in and not the other way around.
I know of a situation of a lady that was in Belgium for 13 years and could not understand yes or no in the language of the town she was living in. My only suggestion no plea to her is go home and never come back.doh very mad

smoky: Oh, I never get over myself, I`m just so absolutely fantastically amazing!

I`m also SO good at discerning Who is Who in this Zoo! Glad you recognised yourself.......

Of course I have Great significance for you! Tis only that you are in denial that you try to deny yourself the deep and humbling experience of bowing at my feet and worshipping me. Cause you never gonna get over the true facts of life, so you may as well just admit .... I AM THE BEST. If you say those words out loud, you will find that you are making an affirmation of Yourself! And in this way will find your way out of all that is troubling you, and then, with enlightenment guiding your feet, (thanks to me), all will become clear and you can sing that lovely song "I can see clearly now the rain has gone!"

Can I sing it too???

Ah ha ... ANOTHER FAN! Welcome to my great and growing Fan Club. For any further enquiries please send all fan mail c/o Concord73.grin Hoi Conrad73 ... see? You got a new name now! (at least I think its meant to be you, unless I got a new Fan Club President elected in my absence?)

Well, Callibya, to answer your first eloquent question - No I did not ask my parents anything before I was born, nor did I ask my grandparents, OR my great-grandparents ..... cause they did that crossing in a Sailing Ship in about 1836 ... and even if I was born then and able to speak and ask them, I wouldn`t be here today discussing this with you - I may be old, but I`m not THAT old!

Yes, in this land of the United Arab Emirates they are very enlightened, cause they want the world to accept them and come and visit and bring lots of money to spend here .... they realy need all your money, cause oil is not selling too well at the moment, and they are looking to the future. Westerners and their lifestyle and ways of dressing are very much accepted here. Simply because we are visitors. And the Arabian way is to treat all visitors with respect because we are who they are building all these beautiful islands in the sea for, and all the wonderful shopping malls, and packing them full of beautiful things for us to buy and take home.

The only thing they wish for us to do is to obey the rules of their religion and that is to be respectfully silent in the shopping malls when it is their prayer times. All music in shops is turned off, and shoppers conduct their business silently. Us Infidels do not begin shouting Hip-Hop/Rap songs cause we disagree with Islam rules.

Oh also, they do not allow anyone to bring or deal or use any illegal drugs.. which is easy for normal people to abide by.

And because the Arabian way is so courteous - they even allow liquor to be consumed by westerners - the western visitors, out of respect for the curtesies extended to them, do not parade around in skimpy clothing, because tis not appreciated by the muslim society generally.

Oh, and all this visiting is done thru Visas, very expensive Visas too! Especially for anyone with an African passport, cause they trying to keep the riff-raff scroungers out of this country. And that includes me, except if one can afford the visa costs!

Your writings are a mite garbled to understand, so I dont know what you are trying to say about Christians,or Switzerland?

Thank you for welcoming me to ur Fun Club but I'm muslim and hope u'll like my Fun!! grin

so we're on same ship as regard ur grandparents trips cuz my grandparents crossed the sea to Europe even b4 1836 but the differ is our people r still crossing by wood ships and urs r flying with their jet fighters grin

and regard ur desert Trip i was expecting ur Answer but i agree n disagree witu!! i agree they trying to show the world they're open free state n in islam society u r welcome. as u noted they sacrifice their cultures 2 makes u happy n be free with ur western habits. n disgree that they're daying of ur money espiclay UAE cuz they're one of richest islamic state n oil prices drooped just mid of 2008..

back to EU now!! if we take ur formala in UAE in but it in EU u'll have answer regads the Muslims in Europe..how? ur old europ indeed need of young active manpowers to full up her economy..
acording to EU commission green Paper on 2005:
reflects an increasing awareness that demographic change might
soon turn into an obstacle to sustainable economic growth and social welfare in Europe. Several decades of low birth rates result in shrinking numbers of new entrants on labour markets, while low fertility combined with continuous progresses of the
longevity result in increasing numbers of retired people. Resuming a policy of economic immigration is seen by many as part of a desirable response.

If no migration were to take place between 2005 and 2025, the demographic change of the aggregated EU25 would be characterized by numbers of population decreasing below 40 years of age (young active), stagnating between 40 and 60 (old active) and increasing above 60 (retirement), as follows:

Young active (20-40) : -17%
Old active (40-60) : 0%
Retired (65+) : +34%

well, the paper is available online if u're interesting!!

what i'm up for is the exchange of interests betwen nations force them to deal respect n accept eachother cuz they need eachothers..

now i've a Q's for u, what about European muslims from European descents? are u want to kick them out and deny their rights on their Land? it's better we stop fueling the hates n accept eachother in peaceful way... u have ur way n i've mine n who break the law we kick him out!! dont u agree?

cristina: According to your posts and the last paragraph of this post...I understand that muslims have been around for a long time and did good stuff, but the women in Muslim countries are behind since they are still fighting for their emancipation? Do you think that if religion would be separated from Politics it wouldn't open doors for more diverse orientation in the Politics of those countries? Is it possible to have a liberal party without clashing with the constitutional values that are Islamic grounded?

good points!!

in islam as a religion the women r equal with men, n this u can find it in may verses of the Koran!!

but if the muslims states now days r flowing the islam rights to women or not!! that's the Q's!!! i agree with that women has less space than men in Islamic states but not as much as the westerns r thinking!! but don't forget western women as well has less space than man!!

have a look in this article it may give a better idea!!

in most islamic state the religion already separated form politics.thats why a party called Muslims Brotherhood r arguing with the heads of islamic states in north Africa, Syria, Iraq, n Jordan to back to the religion law exp..

what u dont know about Koran it has every thing that human needs, from science, politics, economics, everyday life etc.. its not just a stories form the Past prophets...

thumbs up Right on Callibya! And so does the Jewish and Christian Bible. The problem is that people do not read it properly. All the Holy Books contain great truths, mankind sometimes twists things around and gets the message wrong.

But at the end of the day .... They ALL saying the same things... and they ALL contain ALL the Great Truths of how to run ones life and be successfull.

Unfortunately the majority of people look at appearances, not seeing the heart of others.

Okay guys and girls, here I want to quote an extract from the local todays newspaper .....
Quote:
"Residents should be granted citizenship, provided they embrace the culture"....(of Muslim)

What is Arab culture? It includes the food we eat, the way we dress, the way we wed, the way we mourn our dead, how we spend our Ramadan and how we celebrate our Eids. It also includes our music, poetry and sports. Some have said that is not culture - we tell them that is OUR culture.

Why, you ask? Well, because we would like to preserve as much of our culture as possible. We do not want to find one day that many elements that distinguished the Arabs have just evaporated under the guise of globalisation ... our differences make us interesting.

Just to be clear, we will reiterate our position: We support naturalising anyone from ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD - AS LONG AS THEY EMBRACE OUR CULTURE. Unquote.

Now, I ask the question of the Muslim people who object to embracing the culture of the countries they re-locate to ... the predominantly Christian countries ....... Why do they seek to impose THEIR culture onto the adopting country? Surely they are aware that Mosques with minarets and incessant Mezzanin callings to prayer times is

Do they not understand that each nation is proud of its own culture and by accepting them into their social system that a show of gratitude would be welcome? They are not asked to change their culture, but to integrate themselves into the country that "adopted" them and not object to the historic differences between them and their benefactors cultures?

The weak inner gut of Democracy is it's capacity for multiculturalism.....other cultures don't even bother paying lip service to accommodating other points of view....that is Democracy's downfall....it tries to be fair and accommodate everyone...The fundamentals of the French revolution, Liberty, Equality, Fraternity, will be tested over and over again...how can a compassionate defender win against a ruthless foe....you do not win wars by being compassionate. You win wars by not starting them in the first place...jmroh.....(just me rambling on here...)....lol
