Did 8 yrs. catholic school(like being in prison) I got to high school(public) rebel without a cause--tough times NYC lot of fights--liked it so much stayed another year and graduated.

ummmm.... i went to the same school as my three popular "beauty queen" older sisters and was forever being compared to them by everyone in school (students & faculty). how can a sickly child compete against that? by being the loudest, most obnoxious, halfbreed in the whole school....

I was the quiet one, most of the time. Sat in the back of class, tried not to get noticed. And yet, most of the popular crowd and jocks were my friends. I was under their protection after I earned their respect the day I drove to school in my mother's car after totaling mine. And a few years later I also discovered that they didn't invite me to the parties because, as one finally told me, I was a "good girl" and they all made sure I kept my nose clean...literally. They kept me from getting into the heavy drugs that they were using by keeping me on the outside. Gotta love them.
