Hi all ,having not long ventured into the international forums Ive noticed alot here seem to be having relationships with others overseas how is it going for you , what are the hurdles faced , when do you plan to actually meet or have you already & do the logistics deter you at all .
Finnacial constraints would be difficult to overcome is anyone here facing that dilema?
Just wondering how it all comes together

Hello Kizzy, dating internationaly is very hard, expensive and painfull but there is a plus side, before you get to spend a lot of money in flights hotels visas etc etc you want to get to know that person verry well, be nearly 99% sure she/he is the one for you, get to spend a lot of time knowing him/her over the net talking about even the stupidiest things like flavourit water lol

But tell you one thing, It might be hard but it is worth it totally......

Where you been looking into? italy? wink

1) I am still way above happy place

2) A few, but all have been discussed, but will be easy to 'jump' as we come to them.

3) When the time is right. grin

4) Not in the least.

5) I will not let money keep me from going as far as I can, if I sell everything I own it will not matter to me as long as it gets me there. I can always make money no matter where I go, Have to love the internet!

One might even go as far and state that it's "safer", chances at succes can even be higher, cause you are forced not to rush into "something" and thus have the time to do your homework without any pressure... wine And the day you meet face to face and the sparks fly(in a good sense) ...it's so much more special than the ordinary dating game...

I get the whole concept of deep feelings Ive experianced that myself although when the actual meet has happened there was simply no spark admittidly we were talking for only 2 months but it felt very real we had indepth phone conversations almost daily
but the zing just wasnt there on meeting has this happend to you?
I mean to arrange a weekend 7 hrs away was tricky enough not to mention disapointing when we both realised it wasnt gonna happen, more than dissapointing heartbreaking, gut renching even tho we both just knew ,
To travel half way around the world would hurt even more .

I dated a woman from Perth at one time. We met physically a few times and it fizzled. But as a previous poster said, it's a great way for a pair to truely get to know one another without rushing into things, however as he said as well, it can be difficult.

I suppose you can get to know the real person the longer you chat but wow it would be sad if the chemistry was missing when you arrived
If nothing else you would be friends i suppose

yes it did, but with 9 h flight....no smoking for 9 h almost killed me rolling on the floor laughing

But it happens often you do get to know somebody and when you arrange to meet up you expect it to be all perfect, that you will fall deeply in love with each other...etc etc....

I allways suggest to think you have found a friend even if in your heart you want love...its hard to do but the chemistry between internet and real life are to very different things...

BTW if it was me you were meeting I would of never made you have a 7 h flight to come and visit me, I would of visited you....that explains a lot fo things....does it not? just tell me and I will be very down to earth with you...

Yeah yeah it's not to say that it will always work out...but i look at the positive side of things and tell myself that even if things doen't work out...i had a nice holiday in another country and with maybe a new "friend". One has to realise that even if things doesn't work out now...it might well work out later perhaps...who knows??wine Life is funny/strange sometimes...

I met someone from here after we had been emailing for 2.5mths. But only because I was in that part of the world, and we had kept it low key up 'til then. But we did get on as well as online. But 7 days and then me leaving made continuity of a new relationship difficult and the challenges it posed, not recommended. It left too much 'unfinished business'.sad flower
