venere08: I met someone from here after we had been emailing for 2.5mths. But only because I was in that part of the world, and we had kept it low key up 'til then. But we did get on as well as online. But 7 days and then me leaving made continuity of a new relationship difficult and the challenges it posed, not recommended. It left too much 'unfinished business'.

awww hug see thats what im talkin about ,,,sorry it didnt work for you but at least you were going there anyway
and yeah the unfinished business mmm notlike you can hook up for the third date & have "coffee' upstairs lol

damn it mumbling

kizzy27: Hi all ,having not long ventured into the international forums Ive noticed alot here seem to be having relationships with others overseas how is it going for you , what are the hurdles faced , when do you plan to actually meet or have you already & do the logistics deter you at all .
Finnacial constraints would be difficult to overcome is anyone here facing that dilema?
Just wondering how it all comes together

Kizzy

The financial constraints were overcome and a few months ago, between us, we booked SEVEN flights ahead (for February, March, April, May, June, July and August 2009).

How far apart? dunno

Probably between 1,000 and 2,000 miles........... about two hours and 40 minutes flying time - does that help?

I am in an international relationship.

It works for us, for now.

It has never bothered me climbing on planes.

Not the ideal situation but work keeps us apart at the moment.

Never enough, calls and emails, it can not replace being close to the person you love.

We see each other once a month at the very least.

return airfares within the EU are really cheap if you can be flexible with dates. I've been looking at some, and they are about 30-40euros each way inclusive of taxes!

I could fly really cheaply from the UK to Baden-Baden, but from Malta to Frankfurt costs at least three times as much! crying
