iamamm:

if i met a lady in RL, say in a bar or cafe, you would suss out the dumb-nuts and miscreants pretty quick !
but online, it's a good place for them to conceal their real selves

Wrong, iamamm. Hang around.

People most certainly do reveal their selves.

Given time and enough rope to hang themselves.laugh

immanuelle: (I am taking some serious dutch language courses here...damn it hurts!!!
No human language sounds should sound like you are throwing up...sorry Rodolpho...)

Oh, I know, Imma. It almost hurt listening to a lovely lady I knew here, speaking English of-course.

She had a sever Dutch accent.

To spend an hour talking with her was exhausting. Just listening to her!laugh

I met a seemingly nice man on another Spanish dating site last year. We had been communicating for a few months before we arranged to meet.

He was an alcoholic whose hands didn´t stop shaking all the time he was drinking his coffee.

He was a professional pool player too, which made me wonder how he ever potted any balls with those shaking hands. laugh

I have only met friends from forums, the little sheltered life I have led.

PPV was the first person I met with a view to a romance...

iamamm: did you have your cocoa ?

Nope. Not a soul around when I needed someone there.

Did you care, iamamm? No, I don't think so.

I forgive you though, I know you were busy photobucketing, and then you did help me to photobucket, too.

Now I feel like a seasoned photobucketer after bucketing only one photo here!grin

iamamm: symbol..you can't or shouldn't tar all men with the same brush ?

only that your ' brush has been tarred ' ?? ( painful )
hence your need ?....so soothing yes.

empathy is a grossly over-used and seldom understood word.
but interaction can be empathetic; but also just sympathetic.

you need a full time man who will listen, interact and DO something reliably nice for you..mind you, i need the female too.

Yes absolutely sigh but for now he's a kind of stand in for the real thing... mind you, not very often you feel relaxed in the company of a male doctor of any kind so he's doing a good job at being both a doc and himself.

I think I underestimate the action that will take place in my life so I have these beliefs that I will be bored out of my wits but the truth is, plenty is going on most of the time, stuff that keeps me preoccupied and that I can report to my shrink who is all in awe of female intuition and all the stories I have to report grin seems you have plenty going on too, good forya!

Sometimes I feel that I'm actually entertaining my shrink and waking him up from the boredom of crazy people ranting...
