In response to: Hi Tulefel

I can't say remember too much about being asked what I do for a living.

Maybe it says alot about a person the job they do? I mean if a man asked a woman what she did, and she said a lumberjack, I wonder how they would feel?

Hope you're well old girl

(Had to check in the dictionary what “lumberjack” is…)

Can’t know for sure what a man would feel when meeting a female lumberjack… but I’m guessing (and the guess is based on my life-long experience) that a lot of them would feel insufficient.

Is it your job that defines you, or is it you who defines your job?

A couple of week ago was going home, and the taxi-driver made an unforgettable impression: long and bony (exactly as I like ‘em), around 60, perfect Swedish (originally from Middle East), turned on a record with classic music (Mozart, Rimskiy-Korsakov, Mendelson…) at a low volume, talked about this beautiful time of year when everything is in blossom, drove the car very smoothly though confidently… You’d sense education, and taste, and humour, and (please feel free to laugh) shyness… Would marry the man on the spot, if he asked. But he didn’t. sigh

And thank you for asking: old girl is bad going worst, which as usually means only one thing – show WILL go on!

I suddenely thought Tule, god I should not written that, 'old girl' is what my oldest three friends call me. So I hope you are not offended.

It's a good question. I think a mix of the two. Our jobs, have alot of input of who we are as people and I think we are judged on what we do, hence the lumberjack example.

Oh now this I get! I completely understand. When I was waiting for my new car to be delivered, I was in a taxi with a lovely Austrian man and he had some lovely Italian music on, we were chatting and he said to me 'You forget you are a teacher and I wil forget I am a taxi driver and we lose ourselves in the music'

Almost died, I did, it was such a pleasant journey and when I paid him I almost wanted to peck him on the cheek.

No laughing here, just a smile in unison.

In response to: 'Touchy cow?' Did you laugh?

I remember when I used to have my IM on, that there were some oddballs that invited me for a chat.

I had one guy who called me 'a snob and that you will spend the rest of your life alone'

Amusing

Of course, I laughed. I am a fat, old, touchy cow looking for a cow-boy-friend

grin

In response to: They want to know if you are scammable material...

By the way, what do you do for a living?...what's your netto income as well?...

Please send me an email with your private details.
Thanks

Dear Santa!

This letter is not a scam, but a real opportunity to make a decent coin!

You just put your life-long savings into a shoe-box, it has to be C-notes of “In God we trust” make, Nassau-taxies scheme, and send it to me. You will never regret that!

As soon as I’ve received it, I’ll invest all of them into vodka (where else you would get 40 per cent interest?), and then, if you would still insist, I’ll send you all my private details, enface and profile, enlarged and in colour, with and without.

Sincerely yours
Tulefel, 8 years

PS Am I scammable material, you think?

PPS I’m off now: have to write few scam letters. Enjoy yourselves!

I think this is a normal question when you want to get to know someone. The question about your income, though, could sound quite rude.
