druidess6308: Well said, Snuggs, and I agree with you completely. Though some have made a good go of May/December relationships, it helps if the age range is a bit closer for the long run IMO.
To me the greatest sorrow of having to find a partner in our later years is that no matter who you find we dont have the years left to build a life time of memories. Nor the time to grow and know one another . YOuth give you that time or opportunity. SO now we need to choose more wisely because we are limited in time. However we have our life experiances and those can assist us in making better choices provided we keep desperation at bay.

Ain't it the truth. I envy those who celebrate their 40, 50 60 year wedding anniversary. They have so many memories.
When Nancy Regan kissed the coffin of her husband, it was more then sad that he died. I felt sadness for her...how is she going to go on without him. But I guess she is doing fairly well.
Desperation was in my life many years ago and all it did was match me up with the wrong men. Now I am cautious, for many reasons, and if there isn't a Mr. Wonderful for me, I will live out my years believing that it wasn't mean to be. In all truth, it is lonely, but lonliness isn't a reason to get involved with someone.

The thread was age range for dating and last year i dated women between 19-67 of course i relate to women closer to my age range but i dress think and act younger than my years but i can also be sensible having a relationship with someone years senior or junior can and does work for some people i for one wont let age be the deciding factor in my relationship.
Isn't a date where two people go out for a drink or to the cinema or for a walk in the countryside and for a meal etc etc??
Me, I am about 7 years on either side, younger or older.
