true love gets stronger my parents was together 70 years my dad died at 90, my brother wanted to put him in a home my mom said i have loved and taken care of him all these years and it won't stop now, he died at home with her by his side

If my partner's hair is growing white, then I am more than sure that mine is too. If he gains a little weight, then I am sure I am not as skinny as a rail either. Either one of us could become victim of a serious illness.

I don't have to prove it to him now and I don't expect I'll have to in the future.
He knows, part of the success of loving another person is never having to prove it, because if you have to prove it then it is questioned.
If he gets ill, he'll have a nurse, if he grows fat, he'll have a dietician, if he needs news, I'll give it to him.
As for his hair growing white, he has not got any.

We can write all the right words here on the forums. But until we are truly faced with some of those things we don't know how we will react. I was with my first husband 36 years and a few of those years were very difficult. But with work and patience we made it through. When he died right before my eyes I thought my world ended. Four years later I met someone and married him.To me it was again, forever, but we were only together 2 years and his heart was no longer with me but wanting someone else.
Also my 3 sisters and I took care of our Mom in my sisters home when she was dying from cancer. No way did we ever think of putting her in a home. However we are all different and the decisions we make are what we feel are best for all concerned.
