mnowsa: Then go to Larnaca or Paphos...i don't care, really. But, please, just don't question my linguistic capabilities because i can "crush" you in 5 different languages and you won't even recognize a word of it, let alone where to put some comma, semi-colon, or a fullstop.

A clearing of the air!

1 - I already live in Larnaca!

2 - When did I question YOUR linguistic capabilities??

3 - Congratulations on being able to speak 5 different languages!

4 - Shame you are obnoxious, rude and un-diplomatic!

5 - and finally I never asked you to care!

What is so ironic about message to which I am replying is that it could start another thread, I wonder what the title of that one should be

'Love is in the air...... everywhere I look around'

heart wings rolling on the floor laughing heart wings

Yeah - your pic clearly states you are in Larnaca, but you know how women half the time don't know where they really are - right?

I mean, you could say that you are in Cyprus, but actually living on a deserted island in the South Pacific with only a wi-fi satellite connection and an old fart called RobertC2 as your manservant to keep you company!

Ewww! - me in a loincloth..... no thanks - forget it!

RobertC2: Hey there...... your thread yesterday was a HUGE help to me - I ended up inviting a couple of friends round last night and cooked a meal for the first time in EIGHT weeks.......... no wonder I was feeling a bit shaky - it wasn't just the meds but lack of food!

I am so looking forward to a friend flying out here on Tuesday - we are going to have a really great time! (although I musn't assume anything, of course).

Life goes on, and this will help me find some real closure on the loss of the love of my life.

I really think it'll take years not months to be completely 'healed'; but at least I am nolonger wallowing in self-pity and determined to move on and enjoy some of the blessings I have in life.

Thanks!

Hey no problem ...best of luck to you,and glad the thread helped.

Grattitude and counting your blesings will always counter feelings of self-pity....been there!thumbs up

Sorry dear....we, american, don't really like to sugar-coat things much, be it rude or un-diplomatic. In other words, we just don't really like to sound "nice" just for the sake of being nice.laugh

Gee thanks!

I kinda like palm tree fronds - it would remind me of the biblical story of the parting of the Red Sea every time I went for a pee! blushing

I have met many American's and they have all been truly wonderful people with the best manners I have ever come across.

However don't worry there is no chance anyone would ever get confused and think of you as nice or anything close to it!

Is that the only thing you could pick up on the un-diplomatic?

What about the other 4 points or are you answering them in the other 5 languages you claim to speak?

Just in case you could not be bothered to read the whole of this post it was about the ENGLISH LANGUAGE! Just so you know!

If it floats your boat attacking people via the net and accusing them of things which have not actually taken place then yes I would say you are getting good at it!!

Congratulations for being the only US Citizen I have ever had the pleasure of crossing swords with ruder than a NYC Cabbie!!!

Bravo!

You must be very proud!
