Proper grammar is on it's way out. Three quarter of the people on this site have no idea when to use the word too, let alone the word their. Does it bother me? Not at all........
It's an international forum, and not everybodys first language is English,so it doesn't bother me. Way I look at it,at least they're trying to learn and type.

I think there's more inportant issues in life like.......
englishblueeyes: Maybe I am just being a grammar snob, but does anyone else get put off by profiles if their English is not correct?
I hate texts in abbreviations too!!
Am a being too difficult to please??
Yeah, I agree wid ewe.
I hates nuffink more dan pipple bean iggerant.
It ain't gr8 4 pipples to be lazy, innit?
Mind you, some people can't spell that good or haven't had a brilliant education and we should love people for who they are and if they have a good heart; however being lazy with English (in comparison with being uneducated through no fault of their own) doesn't turn me on at all.
I like a nice email, written propery - of course.
It should start off:
'Dear Sir'
and finish with:
'I am dying to meet you and caress your dangly bits. With all my love. My heart is aching for you, and my whole body yearns for the day when we meet'
The bits in between the salutation and ending are not that important.
(P.S. you may write to me - all you have to do is fill in your name at the end - ok?)

It should bother you. You see one day you might find a lover. You'll have to educate him, right? Ok........ maybe you'll educate him about OTHER things!
englishblueeyes: YUK YUK YUK No thank you - Ayia Napa is not for me and is riddled with Swine Flu right now!
Then go to Larnaca or Paphos...i don't care, really. But, please, just don't question my linguistic capabilities because i can "crush" you in 5 different languages and you won't even recognize a word of it, let alone where to put some comma, semi-colon, or a fullstop.
thewall2: If I WAS ANY BETTER.....it be a sin! lol
Hey there...... your thread yesterday was a HUGE help to me - I ended up inviting a couple of friends round last night and cooked a meal for the first time in EIGHT weeks.......... no wonder I was feeling a bit shaky - it wasn't just the meds but lack of food!
I am so looking forward to a friend flying out here on Tuesday - we are going to have a really great time! (although I musn't assume anything, of course).
Life goes on, and this will help me find some real closure on the loss of the love of my life.
I really think it'll take years not months to be completely 'healed'; but at least I am nolonger wallowing in self-pity and determined to move on and enjoy some of the blessings I have in life.
