Hi Ven...Okay, I have found the solution to one of my mama problems. I can clean the kitchen to absolute perfection, sparkling clean, immaculate, tidy, like a picture postcard. My mother will still come in after I have left, pick up the J-cloth and wipe the counter. It is like she has an uncontrollable urge to leave her mark before she is happy. It drives me mad. So, I know that I will never ever be able to clean it to her standard, so my solution

I dropped by my parents' a short while ago on my way home, at my mother's invitation. She'd made some yumming cooked apples stuffed with sultanas. Nice on such a cool night.
I had printed off info from the internet, about a property for my father to look at, as we had been talking about that region in Italy earlier in the day.
My mother cannot bear any mention, not even a whiff, of the slightest possibility of my going to Italy even for a holiday, at the best of times, let alone the thought of my ever spending some lengthier time. So on hearing the lively conversastion between my father and myself, she decided to interpret the matter as me planning to go live in Italy tomorrow. Next thing you know, she is saying that if I went to live there, then it would mean an early death for her!
Oh, boy, here come the guilt sessions all over again.
She finished off the conversations telling me I could take my father with me. And that we could both spend our time digging the acreage on the property! (The land has olive trees and sundry other trees. No digging involved.)

This bloody lunatic used to get up in the middle of the night to go into her adult son,s bedroom to make sure that he was sleeping in a nice tidy straight line,an that was before she,d lost her tiny little mind. I kid you not. I could regale you with lots of stories of this particular individuals madness,but I,d die laughing and I,m not quite ready to go yet.
