In response to: Tiger Woods has now admitted that his 'transgressions' are being dealt with privately with his family & that he's very sorry he acted 'against his values' - the details of his affairs are still hazy, but I think Woods will be sleeping on the pull out bed in the study for a while.
Squillions of dollars, fantastic career, beautiful wife and child.....seemingly not enough for Woods. What a mess. His sponsors have publicly agreed to stand by him today, but I wonder if they'll feel the same in 3 to 4 weeks time when more details emerge.
Why do these high profile guys take these kinds of risks? Don't they realise they might get caught? - or is that half the fun? I'd be interested to know your thoughts.
Interesting comments from everyone so far, most leaning towards some pity for Woods.
I was taught, as a youngster, that Celeb's are in a position of great responsibility along with that Power.
They are the role models of the next generation.
Too bad and very sad many don't live up to that responsibility.
31 months?????
I would be asking some serious questions if I were his Wife, such as what is missing in the Marriage and where if any where we were to go from there.
I feel for his Wife and Children.
I did admire Tiger.
To bad he followed the path of others I also had admired such as Michael Jordan. There was much talk when His transgressions were exposed, as I recall.
The bottom line though, is He is Human as are we all. None of us is without Blemish. Disappointing or not, I will reserve judgement. I do not condone cheating. I also have no right to judge.
I played golf today with a man who is a caddy on the pro PGA tour and he knows Tiger, Tiger's wife and others and had some insights into this whole sad affair. He thoughts were very interesting.
odessaukraine48: big john. is that blue ridge mountains behind you in your picture.
No...that picture was taken from the top of Glacier Point in Yosemite National Park in California. What a beautiful place that is... fantastic. Everybody should see Yosemite before they die. Go in the Spring time when the snow is still on the mountain tops.
