Omurchu65: Am i the only one who thinks this was a pretty fair Budget considering the circumstances

Sure everyones money is being reduced...

Tax payers are being hit ..Social welfare recipitents are being hit...but its no where near as bad as it was in the Eighties

My god i gave up sugar then and still dont take suger to remind me of them times ....i used to survive on wheetabix and tap water(couldnt afford milk) as half my money i recieved was taken up by the rent on my 1 bed flat which had no heating....(No rent allowance in them days)

went to the uk for work and life was good but then the crash in the early nineties had me standing on street corners trying to get work for £20 a day... As a construction worker not rent boy im afraid.....

Ouchhh Diesel up by 5c a litre ....ok ill just try to reduce my driving and walk that little bit more ...see a positive attitude always helps

I'd agree with you there; it's not as harsh as it could have been.

Jaysus. I thought I was the only one. I ate weetabix with the cheapest margerine I could find for days on end just to get rid of the hunger. I lived in a damp leaky old caravan. I was one of Maggie's millions.blues
