omega1036: I was just talking to my mom about this, this morning, only thing is , when is it using that law and when is it not, because
if it says a day that isnt saying a thousand years every time, just like when it talks about a mountain- it is reference to a city, but sometimes it is just a mountain, I think Ive got the mountain part down and understand when that is being used but not sure about the key to the time thing yet. Do you know Is there a key to understanding that? thanks
First it is not law...only a key to understand in the proper context. Kept all things in context....the Bible speaks plain.......just as some old English words mean a certain thing...so it is with a word in the context it is used. For example: The day of the Lord. Does it mean the day he returns or the 1000 years rein. Context will show you.....too much happens to be in one 24 hours....so then it must be the (1000 year) Day of the Lord. In others it is plain it is the day of return.

Ok lol, all due respect and all that, I do not recall the garden of eden being destroyed after the first 7 days, and who are you to say there is only 1 interpretation of the Bible, ( and of course you have it)

RillyNiceGuy: In the Bible is a statement that a day is as a thousand years and a thousand years as a day. I find most Christains do not understand the meaning and its importance. Do you?

Gods time is not our time, he is in all and through all, even in a split second he has done a thousand years of our work and a thousand years to us is but a day to him. He is outside of time.

hollandgirl: Would you like me to quote these sciptures to you? as I have them all at my finger tips.
Just let me know okay?

I Repeat:Citing Scripture to prove Scripture proves Nothing.
Is that lost on you?
I can quote Scripture.
So,I've heard,can Satan.
Learn something else.
Something other than the Dogma you embrace.
Dont be afraid. It wont hurt very much.
I wish you well.
Wise up.

yeah, I just said law to try to catagorize what i ws trying to say for lack of a better word, I know context is everything and I have been using a strongs ( and a vines for original meaning)but yes just like the mountain vs city it is pretty clear when taken in context.

pessimism shows in your face. I am sorry that you are so sad. May the love of God touch your heart, may you know him who knows you fully.

Never worry about me as I am in very good hands all the time.
Thank you for your best wishes for me.
Wishing you well also.

Strange is it not that all those old testament scriptures are fulfilled when Jesus was crucified as was foretold.

There is a prophetic week given to us which has nothing to do with the 24 hour days and the seven day week. Study and it will come.

If there were hundreds of intereptations confusion would rein as it does in todays nominal Churches. There is only one interpetation and one understanding or else confusion occurs and the Gospel lost and the faith corrupted.

You last remark was unkind and uncalled for. I wish only to give my fellows a key to understanding. many have this understanding independant of me.....because of one meaning only.

Many believe by their own interpetation that when a man dies he goes to Heaven right then. Therefore they make the resurrection a lie and the Gospel a falsehood. The resurrection is at the return of Christ and God will come to dwell among man on the Earth. Read Revelation of the New Jerusalem coming down from Heaven. Are you of those who believe a different gospel and are well putting up with it as the Bible said you would. (by your own interpetation) I mean this with no malice only to give sight out of caring.

Have you ever heard of argument by insult or intimidation?
I am a far happier Man than you my young friend.
You are a pandering hypocrite.
And I am not afraid to know myself as fully as time permits.Regardless.
You cannot presume to insult me.When you learn to tell fortunes there will be a place for you in the circus. In the meantime get over yourself.

It reign now in over 400 denominations......today!!!!

read 2 peter 1:20 KJV

so it must be the same for all....since there is no private interpetation. Therefore no confusion as is in todays Churches.
