I agree manners is a must for me... but we had this discusion a couple of days ago and some will disagree

Here's my take on "replying" to others...
Most of the time I will reply. But if it is someone who CLEARLY has NOT read my profile and pursues anyway, then the only acknowledgement they will get is the delete or block button. End of story.

I don't respond to everyone. This has nothing to do with manners. The Internet is different than real life.

There's nothing ill-mannered about not responding to a flower or card or email. Sending one to someone creates no more of an obligation to reply than does a card or call from a stranger asking you out.

In real life you wouldn't necessarily feel obliged to respond to entreaties or greetings from people you don't know.

Although I do appreciate some of the flowers/emails I recieve I refuse to reply to the ones who include private email addys and phone numbers.Or come off mushy.
