Ur_Knight: Only took me and another person two days and 6 hours to drive non-stop from Toronto to Vancouver a few weeks ago kid... what's the problem???

I've done the drive from Edmonton to Toronto in the winter before, no thanks, I'd rather fly. laugh

Just under three days, but I did get stuck behind a snow plow north of Superior for several hundred kms, that slowed me down.

Yip, yip!

I AM CANADIAN

don't we love Molson

I have lived and worked in the US and other countries even longer than Canada but I find that Canada is 200 % times better. I am very happy and proud to be Canadian. This is a great country.

Yip yip has nothing to do with Canada. I learnt how to say that in the US, so where in my post did you get that from, that it makes Canada special? I am using that and Molson beer to cheer up my fellow Canadians, not to be let down by someone who does not like Canada. I do and I very much do. I want Canadians to know that we are NOT all like you, lots of us are happy Canadians and happy to be in Canada and to be Canadians as you can tell from most who have posted in this thread.

If Mexico was so great, why are there Mexicans lined up to come to Canada and the US? I don't see Canadians fleeing Canada to go to Mexico, yes there are some who live there but not that many.

My cleaner is from Mexico and is trying hard to get her mother here, why if Mexico is better? I tell her to move to the US because she speaks Spanish and she says 'NO, never', she likes Canada and for her Canada has been good to her. My neighbor's cleaner is from Portugal in Europe, she came here with her husband in the 80s and now her mother is here, her sister is here too. I don't think Portugal is that bad.

I don't have time and room to list all that make Canada special. I am not yet retired like you. Maybe I will move to Mexico too when I am retired because it is cheaper to live there but so is the US and I am not going there.

Ask immigrants why they immigrate to Canada and not Mexico? and tell them they are better of in Mexico than in Canada. Yes, it is easier for you to go live in Mexico using your Canadian dollars from your pension but not that easy for the local Mexican down there.
I am sure if I come to Mexico today and offer immigrant visas to Canada lots of Mexicans will take it up.
I am happy for you being happy in Mexico other than Canada but DON'T put Canada down. It is a very good country and I am happy to live here and a proud Canadian.

Thank you very much.

But I don't know what his problem is? Yep, if Mexico is so great to live there, why are some of the locals leaving to go elsewhere, including Canada? No, country on earth is perfect but Canada is not bad.

I did not say that Mexico was better, I simply asked what distinctive features of Canada makes it a better place. As an aboriginal canadian I have experienced terrible things there, things that I have not experienced elsewhere.

I have posted here and I think that I proved my point. My perspective has been attacked out of hand without thought for asking why. In the older days it would not be like this. I do not like even being on this forum with canadians, imagine having to live with them.

Do not bother commenting, I will move on to the mexico forum...

sweet dreams.

Canada is a great place to be. I'm another proud Canadian. But I too, agree, B.C. in particular, treated First Nations people dreadfully. But I don't think leaving and complaining about a whole country is the answer.
