Try this; if they say I love you and you dont' say it back and just say thanks, I guarantee they will flip out.

speaking of insecurity i wonder if your believing that you know everything about everything and everyone's motivations ALWAYS gives you a desperately sought sense of security?
you speak in black and white and with absolute certainty in regard to what we do, what we choose etc.

i say i love you to my husband and sometimes, somewhat often in fact he says i know- and that is a special moment for each of us i think. you do not have the entire world sussed mjames you are just a human muddling along just like the rest of us.
