oldfoxyguy: If you were planning on a vacation , would you choose a Muslim Country over a Christian Country ?
I have always thought of vacationing in Turkey at Christmas. Even though I am Catholic I don't like Christmas so I want to spend Christmas in a Muslim country specifically.

Liebe2: I am sure you had a great time and were trated like a king, as long as you tipped them. Have you tried to see their reaction if you didn't? I experienced this everywhere.

And your point is? I go to the market here and they try to rip me off, just because I speak English and look Western and they think I am American, therefore I am loaded. I am speaking from experience, unlike someone that has not taken his head out from his boundaries, so unless you have been over here or where I have been, please do not tell me what I should do/say and what I should not. Go to sleep and stop replying to my posts that do not address to you in a bit. It's getting so boring.
numbertwelve: The welcome in Islamic countries is friendly genuine and memorable. People say hello and welcome you in for sweet tea. And you leave as friends.
Alex
And they even convinced you to buy something you don't need, at a "friend's" price

You are way off the mark there.
I came across many villages that were days walk from the nearest roadhead with no money in my pocket. I was looked after, fed and watered without question. Nothing was expected or asked for in return. That's true hospitality that, as I said, I've never come across before. Even down in the cities I encountered the same kind of unconditional hospitality, you should try it sometime.

I would agree with that, G. Its only really in the tourist areas that they attempt to get money out of you. Hardly surprising really, as its their main source of income!
In the true, country areas of places like this, you dont get that kind of mercenary mentality; the people are genuinely interested in you and would give you their last bowl of corn, in my experience.
