I must say, all of the comments are interesting. Since I have never been to any of the countries that would be considered Muslim I appreciate everyone's posts.

I tend to agree, although freedom of speech does preVAIL (burqa), on a serious note, It's huMANe to treat woMAN as second rate bystanders on the greater scale of evolution, Abraham said sooooooo
In response to: And your point is? I go to the market here and they try to rip me off, just because I speak English and look Western and they think I am American, therefore I am loaded. I am speaking from experience,....
This is bodleing's experience
You are way off the mark there.
I came across many villages that were days walk from the nearest roadhead with no money in my pocket. I was looked after, fed and watered without question. Nothing was expected or asked for in return. That's true hospitality that, as I said, I've never come across before. Even down in the cities I encountered the same kind of unconditional hospitality, you should try it sometime.
You're both right. It was your OWN personal experiences so neither of you can tell the other that they are wrong or incorrect. This is how it starts ....every time.
I would LOVE to go to a Muslim country for a visit. I would however, this time probably wear a Sari or Burkha. The last time I was a Muslim country, being very young and naive, I was not dressed properly and it was not comfortable. Shorts and a t-shirt didn't cover me enough to avoid the looks
I don't honestly believe that I would go to ANY country that didn't allow booze to be drunk in bars or wherever...or where a woman wouldn't be allowed to wear a bikini, or walk down the street in shorts and a tee-shirt.

Some places are so different and exciting, you just dont miss those things.
Anyway, you can always make up for it when you get home.
