Witchaywoman: Yay. I do not have a gun or care for guns, but do care for civil rights a great deal. I also do not like to imagine a world where the Republicans have all the guns and the people don't.
I do personally know quite a few ex-democrats, and gun owners, who are now either registered independent, or republican. An occurance that first began during the Clintonians 2nd term, and right after the affirmation of the obamanation.

Abram: You might want to consider that, they have caller id, and probably know very well the caliber of language you use. The operators in government have been given permission to hang up the phone on anyone raising their voice, or using profane language. It's one of those protections the progressive dems have insured for their elite class of citizens who work for, get paid by the people. You need to be a considerate employer, and boss, mr. bandit, otherwise they might give themselves another raise. It does seem to work pretty good, the more money they use for stuffing, the less they can here from the machine that keeps them working.

Godsgift: The media would insure that the US public would see these people as criminals and extreme force would be used to subdue them. Remember the McCarthy Witchunts. It's happened before. These people have no intention of allowing you minions to take their power from them. And if they wanted the gun laws changed tomorrow, it would be done. They've given you what you want. The delusion that you have some form of control.
That would, and does, depend on which side the media finds to be a partner in their ability to prosper. I can tell you with full confidence that they could never pass a law requiring the American public to disarm. The citizens of that ideal, that intention, are not of the majority, but of various proportions who are only capable of unity during the election process. Each proportion, supporting group of progressive ideology, depends on electing a representative government, of their interest, providing them with unlimited resources, and prosperity. A life of faction that lives off from a shrinking base of taxpayers, who either become part of the process, or eliminated of the process. This type of government has never servived, and we see it today, all around the world, the nations economies collapsing under the weight of those who free took, without any return. THAT IS EXACTLY WHY THE 2nd AMENDMENT IS OUR BASIC PROTECTION, GUARDING ALL OTHERS.

It could be he imagines that by controlling, equalizing the possessions, behavior, and abilities of others, you will in turn control their passions. The theoretic mind speculates that when everybody has the same thing, the ability to get the same things, at the needed times, there will be no need for people to harm others, take from others. They are the abomination, led by the obamanation, of the arms they already gave up, and living off from us, U.S.

Ever hear of the Federalist Papers? They were written by the authors of the Constitution to explain why they put certain things in the Constitution. In the explanation of the second amendment it says that Americans will be allowed to own guns in case our government gets too opressive we will be able to form a new government. Our press only publishes the incidents where someone gets killed or injured by a gun, they don't publish it when someone protects themselves with a gun. A lot of the time it isn't reported to the police anyway.

I read it in several places, search the net, it's out there. There is also a book that has all the stats in it, maybe get it at Amazon.

Hmmmm, seems like I read somewhere more children drown in swimming pools than get shot playing with guns, maybe we should get rid of swimming pools, and cars, and boats, etc., etc., etc.

I received very good training with firearms in both the Cub and Boy Scouts, then the NRA and The Boys Clubs in Wash. DC ...excellent teachers also, all former US Marines...snipers.

femjkw: I think the supreme court finally got it's head on it's shoulder by allowing people to defend themselves and their families if need be.
While the Supreme court did its job for, of the people, the Chicago despots have decide to impose rules, and regulations which will make it to expensive, with heavy burdens. After gun ban defeat, Chicago mayor proposes strict rules "The measure, which draws from ordinances around the country, would ban gun shops in Chicago and prohibit gun owners from stepping outside their homes, even onto their porches or garages, with a handgun." Daley announced his ordinance at a park on the city's South Side three days after the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that Americans have a right to own a gun for self-defense anywhere they live. The City Council is expected to vote on it Friday."
I love the way these pigs walk all over the people who allow them to live, and work has our REPRESENTATIVES. They want to anger, tempt, and agravate the public into a situation where they can call on Martial Law, activate the military to quell an uprising they imagine is meant to harm. Problem is, they have been watching their own obnoxious supporters for so long, and they think the military will take orders from a community organizer in chief. It will never happen.
