i really dont need a gun. i can fight my own battles. but you never know. in order to protect my family. i will always carry a gun. as my late father use to say. only way you getting my gun is from my cold dead hands.

demonfairy: You will find that most people have some form of gun in there home,but they don't go around shooting people.The honest man has every right to have a gun,Why should the the criminals be the only ones to have them.Where im living now there are a lot of farms,lots of deer,wild turkeys,rabbits,squirrels,etc.They have a certain time of year for the hunters to kill these for food,plus to keep population down of these animals.There are so many deer,that people total there cars when the deer jump in front of them with out warning.I myself lost a car two years ago when a deer jumped in front of me,i missed the first one couldn't miss the second,So guns have there usefulness,there not just used to rob,and kill people.My opion only
I think people missed your point entirely. I feel the same way you do. We don't have guns around here to kill one another. We use them to hunt food. We also use them as means of protection against wildlife.....bear, mountain lion, wild dogs, etc.
Why would I need a handgun where I live at if all I want to do is hunt? Well, when I go hiking or riding horses, the rifle is just too big to pack. You can place a handgun on your hip, some in your pocket depending how they are designed, then if you run into anything threatening, such as bear, mountain lion, wild dogs, etc. you are protected. Mace just pisses them off.
Guns are used for more than killing people. A lot of you have a hard time understanding that because you are not accustomed to different lifestyles. Stay one day at my home and you will understand why we need our guns.
